TP should have made at least a 9.0...
reason #1-its zelda
reason #2-it has more replay value than WW *cough* triforce search...
reason #3- they didn't take into consideration that it was basically directly ported in except for the control functions and the mirroring
reason #4- i dont have a reason 4 but they must of hated the overused final boss thingy
We all feel ur pain believe me...not really XD cause we still enjoy this game so we don't care what GS has to say...just hate Jeff...lol
Reasons it deserves lower
#1 Its linear, for the first 20 hours of the game, your forced down a narrow path.  Run around here, Beat this dungeon, turn into a wolf, collect tears, repeat 4 times until you get the master sword.....NO you may NOT go to Hyrule castle yet, get back to kakariko.
#2 Music is an abomination, I think my ears bled while running around hyrule field.
#3 Little character development, aside from midna, the most major other character was Zant, and behind Zant it was that Half horned moblin, and behind him was Telma, and so forth.
#4 Dungeons are short, shorter than the GB Zelda dungeons.
#5 Between dungeons, there's about twenty minutes of content from when you exit one and enter another.
#6 Bosses sucked.Â
#7 Wind Waker kicks its ass.

Yeah i know this is a old topic but i just got my wii and i finally played twilight princessAxel_rocks14
Lol. yes TP was done a little injustice and i think ign was a more accurate review. the only real flaw that is bad in this game is the music. it is an abomination and is no where near koji kondos best work. but thats the only real bad part. people like shirley temple like to bash this game because its not identical to WW and say it sucks. its actually a very good game. its just not as innovative as WW was. which really isnt a big strike against it considering its such a fantastically made game.

1. No Zelda game but TP has been this linear. Ocarina let you beat dungeons out of order, hell as soon as you met Zelda, roughly an hour into the game, you could choose to anywhere you wanted. MM was similar, WW had a lenthier linear period, but still it doesn't come close to TP's 20 hours of hands-inside-the-car gameplay.
5. I wanted more to do, it seemed that as soon as you left one dungeon, they shuffled you into another.
6. Hm, The dekubaba, Stallord, Yeta, and Ghoma were good? Stallord had potential, but they effed up his attacks, he should have been more imposing, like a colossus, hell put a spinner track on his arm and make the player have to jump on it and ride up to him, would have been better than just running into his spine at 2 miles an hour after wasting momentum dodging his skeletons. Argorok was another that had potential, but they messed it up by making it too simple, what's impressive about destroying his armor because Link put on some boots? What's impressive about hookshotting onto a stationary target who's also Z-targeted? Nothing.
7. My point is, TP doesn't deserve 9.0 if it wasn't as good as it could have been, everywhere I went in that game, I looked at and thought "this doesn't work, they should have done this." While in Wind Waker, the only thing I'd change, would be to reduce Tingle's greediness, and have the game point you to the Ghost Ship Chart location, the only thing that seems to hang up gamers, is figuring out where to find that.
8.8?????? are you kidding me gamespot?? this game deserves at least a 9.5 seriously this is now one of my favorites. I will admit the speaker from remote doesn't sound that great and the graphics sometimes look last-gen but gamespot doesn't seem to look at the good stuff in games when reviewing. So what if the graphics aren't at the wii's full potential but zelda pratically suceeds in everything else. This isn't gonna happen but gamespot should rethink their review and get a different reviewer. Axel_rocks14

I love the sound coming out of the wiimote, seriously. It's so unique sounding. Other than that, I agree with the reviewer. The bosses were too easy, and the textures were brutal at times. The jaggies really jumped out too, especially in the desert. Having said that, this is one of the best Zelda games ever made. I would say its better than ocarina, worse than majora.Â
