Who here originally just bought a Wii to get Twilight Princess?

hehe I know I did, and then I bought the GCN version and played that ever since. While I'm at it, I almost just play GCN games on my Wii as only a handful of stellar games are avaliable (Galaxy, SSBB, MP3 etc).

...and you know, I haven't even FINISHED it yet. I lost interest in it a while ago.

Go finish it now! I beat that in the first week... and I rarely finish games. Ever.

Not just for it. But it was one of the games I got with it at launch, its its been my favorite Wii games since. There have been some good ones, but the horizon looks alot better. I just hope they don't do something too drastic with the Wii Zelda game.

Nope, I got the GC version, which I found better than the Wii version anyway. I didn't get my Wii until February 07

I don't know why, its the same game as the GC version, just in the opposite direction. I bought the Wii because I was interested in the controller, and the continuation of franchises like Mario, Smash Brothers, Metroid etc. And got some great new IPs out of the deal. Sepewrath

it was a major contributor to my decision of wanting one. but if i didnt have a wii now, it would not be the only reason to get one

that has happened to me with several games this gen but not Zelda TP I loved that game so much.

ultimatly motion controls and loving Nintendo stuff got me to buy the Wii but Zelda TP was the killer app at the time and I knew that that was what I wanted to play most.

Not me,i bought it on the Gamecube and felt like owning a Wii was pointless until 2008.

This is exactly what happened to me, too. Now Im contemplating selling my Wii back to gamestop. Does anyone know how much a used Wii in excellent condition would get ya?

As long as Zelda games and maybe even Mario games exist, I will own a Nintendo console. Simple as that. So not for TP, but for LoZ overall.

I did get it for the Wii but if I'd had to have waited longer I would have got the Gamecube version.

I bought my Wii cause I enjoy playing fun videogames. Of course I got Twilight Princess on launch and loved it, as any sane person would.

Brawl was my main reason and Zelda was a plus.

nothing else besides those and SMG have interested me a bit

It just... doesn't hold my interest like other Zelda games have. :(

I sure did, but I also got RS along with it. Both were sold on Ebay shortly afterwards, along with the system.

The fact that Twilight Princess was being launched the same time as the Wii was a huge plus. Other than that, I knew I wanted the Wii long before launch day.

It was an amazing game. Not the reason I bought Wii though...
