I don't know whether to call her his girlfriend or wife, but it seems like that they broke up or maybe Bowser likes to constantly make attempts to cheat on her with Princess Peach. I mean I am only wondering because Boswer has a son. It seems like his son is the bilogical offspring of Bowser and I doubt Princess PEach had a son with Bowser...

It all became clear in Mario Sunshine when Bowser Jr. constantly referred to her as Mama Peach. She's the one who has been popping out Koopalings. And let's be honest - why do you think Bowser keeps kidnapping Peach? There's pretty much one koopaling for every Mario game now.DJ_Lae

Maybe that's why Peach seems not to even try to escape when Bowser kidnaps her - it's all one big ruse to get her away from Mario.
