Link was pretty disappointed when Midna left.
Seriously though, I was disapointed. It is a fantastic game, better than most other games, but compared to OoT it's **** Everything compared to OoT is ****....dammit nintendo hurry up and make a worthy succesor!!
I've been a Zelda fan for a long time. I've played and beaten all of them, except the second one (I just can't get into that one enough!) I played TP around its release, and when I beat it, I thought it was a great, great game....just not Zelda great. I guess it just doesn't spark for me. People say it's better than OoT, but I disagree strongly. Who else was disappointed in TP. If you weren't, go ahead, share your thoughts.Maluigi
I agree completely, in fact I have yet to finish the game...
it was exactly as i expected it. A good game but short and not amazing. The bosses were the dissapointment. sarakin
Short? By my measure it was the longest Zelda game ever.
I loved the game. The only disappointments were how long it took to open up the whole world for exploration, and the final boss battle (i thought OoT was way more dramatic and intense).
I was, in no way, shape or form. Dissapointedin the slightest. It was like OoT fell through a timewarp and got prettied up, which to me. Is not a bad thing.Spektre41
Thats pretty close to the truth when you consider you walk into a time warp and into the old Temple of Time. My "oh snap" moment in the game!!!!
I think I was slightly disappointed, but with the amount of hype the game went through, it would have been incredibly hard for it to live up to everyones hopes. Well, every time a new Zelda is announced people want it to be the best, and when we first saw TP as a return to the realistic style, it got people excited very quickly.
It's not a bad game, it's still one of the best Nintendo games in recent years. It's not short, the story and characters are probably the best to date, and its still fun. My main problem was occasionally dull dungeons and unoriginal puzzles, slightly poor bosses and an overall easy difficulty.
If I were to compare it to OOT, OOT is way better hands down. I think TP is a bit better than Majora's Mask and about as good as Wind Waker.
Good game, but dare I say it dragged out for too long?SuperMooseman
Yeah i got that feeling too...
TP was good but it's outclassed by OoT.

How is forty to fifty hours short? This is easily the longest Zelda game by far. Heck, it might even be a bit too long.

i don't remember 40 hours i remember beating the temples...maybe it's cuz i didn't do the side quests or anything else? I'm not a big zelda fan and it's been a while since i played the game so im sorry if im wrong about the length i may be remembering incorrectly.

I do think it's better than OoT, but I was disappointed. I thought it would be better than MM -- instead I got a OoT rehash (although OoT had a better story). It's still a great Zelda game, though... it just felt like it was a huge step back.
It is a disappointment for me as well. I expected big things. But in the end, it was a story mode with easy bosses, easier enemies, no proper sidequests, and the entire story consisted of collecting things. When you finish collecting those, go around and collect more things for the "sidequests". Hearts, poes, and bugs.
Still a great game that's very epic, got lots of style, and awesome puzzle and level design. But in the end, I just didn't feel that Zelda feel.
It was a disappointment for me too. It was way to linear for me and it took way to long for you to go out and explore, as in once you beat a temple you were forced back into the wolf in a matter of seconds. Of course that would end after the first 20 hours of game play...for me anyway, which is way to long.

I agreed with you. It was a great game, very well done, but its wasnt Zelda great like your saying :p
Anyone ever tought about what was Twilight Princess without the two delays? It would have been worst.
The only problem with this game was the difficulty of the game..it was too EASY!...
Zelda games usually takes me to a point where i am stuck..and i altleast die a few times..
But not this time!.I went through the game easily and none of the bosses killed me once.I didnt even use one potion!!!! :(
Loved the graphics and the characters though!.
