I've been a Zelda fan for a long time. I've played and beaten all of them, except the second one (I just can't get into that one enough!) I played TP around its release, and when I beat it, I thought it was a great, great game....just not Zelda great. I guess it just doesn't spark for me. People say it's better than OoT, but I disagree strongly. Who else was disappointed in TP. If you weren't, go ahead, share your thoughts.

Link was pretty disappointed when Midna left.

Seriously though, I was disapointed. It is a fantastic game, better than most other games, but compared to OoT it's **** Everything compared to OoT is ****....dammit nintendo hurry up and make a worthy succesor!!

I was, in no way, shape or form. Dissapointedin the slightest. It was like OoT fell through a timewarp and got prettied up, which to me. Is not a bad thing.

Short? By my measure it was the longest Zelda game ever.

I loved the game. The only disappointments were how long it took to open up the whole world for exploration, and the final boss battle (i thought OoT was way more dramatic and intense).

Thats pretty close to the truth when you consider you walk into a time warp and into the old Temple of Time. My "oh snap" moment in the game!!!!

I think I was slightly disappointed, but with the amount of hype the game went through, it would have been incredibly hard for it to live up to everyones hopes. Well, every time a new Zelda is announced people want it to be the best, and when we first saw TP as a return to the realistic style, it got people excited very quickly.

It's not a bad game, it's still one of the best Nintendo games in recent years. It's not short, the story and characters are probably the best to date, and its still fun. My main problem was occasionally dull dungeons and unoriginal puzzles, slightly poor bosses and an overall easy difficulty.

If I were to compare it to OOT, OOT is way better hands down. I think TP is a bit better than Majora's Mask and about as good as Wind Waker.

Thanks for that one... I'm not finished with the game.

Although, it's the first Zelda game i play, and i LOVE it.

Yeah i got that feeling too...

TP was good but it's outclassed by OoT.

How is forty to fifty hours short? This is easily the longest Zelda game by far. Heck, it might even be a bit too long.

i don't remember 40 hours i remember beating the temples...maybe it's cuz i didn't do the side quests or anything else? I'm not a big zelda fan and it's been a while since i played the game so im sorry if im wrong about the length i may be remembering incorrectly.

I do think it's better than OoT, but I was disappointed. I thought it would be better than MM -- instead I got a OoT rehash (although OoT had a better story). It's still a great Zelda game, though... it just felt like it was a huge step back.

i enjoyed OOT and Wind Waker much more than i did TP. When i first played the game i thought it was amazing, but after completeing it i thought the exact same as you -- it was a good game but not a good zelda game.

It is a disappointment for me as well. I expected big things. But in the end, it was a story mode with easy bosses, easier enemies, no proper sidequests, and the entire story consisted of collecting things. When you finish collecting those, go around and collect more things for the "sidequests". Hearts, poes, and bugs.

Still a great game that's very epic, got lots of style, and awesome puzzle and level design. But in the end, I just didn't feel that Zelda feel.

Just a little bit. I was expecting it to be the succesor of Ocarina of Time, but it wasn't that great. I loved the game, being a Zelda fan, and I give it an excellent score, but there were some details that I didn't like, specially the bosses (too easy). It's still the best Wii title for me, anyways.

I was a little bit disappointed. TP was my first Zelda game and all Id ever heard about Zelda was how incredible a game it is. Needless to say, it didnt quite meet the hype. Not bad, just not incredible. Ive tried earlier ones now as well, and, to be honest, Im still not impressed.

It was a disappointment for me too. It was way to linear for me and it took way to long for you to go out and explore, as in once you beat a temple you were forced back into the wolf in a matter of seconds. Of course that would end after the first 20 hours of game play...for me anyway, which is way to long.

I gotta say that what disappointed me in Twilight Princes was the lack of originality. Also the frame rate.

Ocarina of Time is still my #1 game of all time. BUT... A Link to the Past was an amazing as well.

I think it was a great game and i wasnt not disappointed at all, was it better then OOT no but tell me what is? The side quest wasnt great and the game was very long I dont know where that short stuff is coming from. I think we as Zelda fans has just played so many titles that we know so much cuz I dont feel that the bosses in TP was that much harder then OOT, i think we just know Zelda a lil better then when we played OOT.

I was disappointed because the game was too easy, I probably died about 3 times in the entire game and I had no trouble fighting any of the boss.

Eh, I mean TP wasn't a bad bad Zelda game, but I think it could've used some polish, such as putting more details into hyrule field, and making it one big field, instead of splitting it up in pieces.

I loved it when it first came out because it was a new Zelda game. But a year later and two play throughs later, I find it a bit weak. But it's still a good game.

I agreed with you. It was a great game, very well done, but its wasnt Zelda great like your saying :p

Anyone ever tought about what was Twilight Princess without the two delays? It would have been worst.

They call it The Legend of ZELDA! This one had little to do with Zelda... That's what dissappointed me. She looks awesome in this game and you see her like twice. The character design is what I hope stays in the next Zelda game... if another one at all.

The only problem with this game was the difficulty of the game..it was too EASY!...

Zelda games usually takes me to a point where i am stuck..and i altleast die a few times..

But not this time!.I went through the game easily and none of the bosses killed me once.I didnt even use one potion!!!! :(

Loved the graphics and the characters though!.
