Even though I was kind of disappointed with Wii when I first saw it, I had to get it. Can't stop buying Nintendo consoles now. :P And it's actually pretty nice. Though there aren't any good games out here in Europe yet. :(
A whole slew of new Nintendo games coming, Backward compatibility (my GCN was starting to die), the VC, and just an upgrade with a few other things (like Online, ya know.) I'm happy I did - but I wouldn't mind getting a PS3 sometime later... probably not though... usually for me I'd rather buy about six or seven games instead of a new system... even if it did have a price drop... who knows... if I bought a 360 or a PS3, I'd have a lot of catching up to do.
Cause I knew it was going to be freakin awesome. (and I'm a bit of a fanboy) It's funny I have had every Nintendo system except Virtual Boy, and when I go to play my xbox or ps2 I always say "I'm going to play Nintendo for a bit"
The Games. I can't Miss out on my Metroid Prime 3, Smash, Mario, Mario Karts, etc.
oh yeah, plus the controller/design of the console made me want it.

well, that is why I am going to buy a wii this summer, just waitin on E3 for their next plans to be 100% sure...although, I kinda am 100% sure:P...just no monnies:(
i liked the way Nintendo was going with the DS and thought the Wii was a logicall step in the right direction for console gaming. i still think that, though i wished the graphics were better (yep, i'm as much a graphics whore as i am a gameplay whore).
The Wiimote is awsome. i wish i could use it to play some of my 360 and PS3 games with it.
im a nintendo fanboy i mean im 15 so iv only known N64 and on but i loved N64 so i hadta buy gamecube (letdown not such good games) and wii as ppl hav said b4 hav too many great franchises to not buy it i mean the mario one alone shuld convince you to buy it but then plus DK and the SSB so yea and if any1 wants my number im getting it in a week and a half so PM me then
i bought it because it's fun. I had played one at my friend's house, and realized that my 360 needed a friend. They both live happily together...and are expecting a baby boy! :P
