i wanted something to keep me occupied for the summer, and i wanted a handheld as opposed to a console since theyre handier to pick up and play wherever/whenever. i chose the ds over the psp, since with the touchscreen ad dual screens it was kinda unique and has more old-skool games(like super mario and sonic) that i used to play when i was younger on my nes/snes/gamegear.
I've been longing to get me a Nintendo handheld for a long time. Also, because I need things to keep me occupied whilist I listen to my iPod on the way to University (I can't read and listen to Podcasts at the same time), the DS was a good fit.
Well I didn't really buy one - I bought one for my girlfriend. She used to play nintendogs on it - but after that wore off, she never used it so gave it back to me. I decided to go get some games for it (FFIII, mario kart) but when I went to play them, the speakers were broken. This made me go out and buy a DS lite :)
actually,i wanted a GBA SP all along,So my father took me to the shop and the guy over there was showing me all the features of the GBA SP.Suddenly,he recommended my father to buy me a Nintendo DS Lite.So,my father said yes..and there I was in the car with the beautiful :D Nintendo DS Lite box in my plastic bag holding it tightly.
