I understand why you and others would want a headset, but the truth of it is, people tend to get angry and use inappropriate language for kiddies who play games. Because of Nintendo's 'family console' they are known for, I find it unlikely they will allow a feature for talking this generation unless they come up with a creative way to keep young ones out of that scene. However, if Nintendo does eventually utilize the feature of team speak, it really becomes of matter of the parents allowing, monitoring, and possibly an addition to the parental control feature. I don't see that as a hard update, but with their current multiplayer set-up, it may be a long while before we see Nintendo follow X-Box in the next step of online gaming.SuikoGremio
DS had a headset, so I don't see why the Wii won't!
they could have an option to mute voice chat. that would solve the problem. i hate that online games dont have voice it feels like im playing a bot. mario strikers is a lot of fun but it would be so much more fun if you could at least use the wiiboard to chat
by wiiboard i mean the wii keyboard thing
[QUOTE="Sepewrath"]I think one will come out eventually once nintendo finds a way to monitor things, like parental control or something. You know nintendo trying to keep the world safe.Pinb0t
How do you make a "parental control" for verbal speech not text?
There in lies the problem, sounds like it takes alot work right? hence why we dont have one yet, I remeber hearing a while back about Nintendo copyrighting some tech that can convert text and words or something like that. So they my be working something, but there is always a chance that they will allow a 3rd party one to be made.

Something like that would be really expansive...
where would it connect to?rav44
Assuming that Nintendo followed the Bluetooth standard, there should be no problem linking to additional wireless devices such as headsets (bt standard = 7 devices).
endless ocean and bwii would really benefit from a head set.

yea bwii wuldreally benefit bcuz u need chat to tell a co-op player to move left and around back or something

I was thinking it would connect to one of the GC ports. Like a wireless reciever would go to the GC ports, like something that resembles a wave-bird wireless thingy. Then the headset would go on your head, and wa-la, instead headset action.

Why use controller ports when the Wii has much more flexible USB ports and BT wireless?
who care if we have wii connect 24/7they could have an option to mute voice chat. that would solve the problem. i hate that online games dont have voice it feels like im playing a bot. mario strikers is a lot of fun but it would be so much more fun if you could at least use the wiiboard to chat
