[QUOTE="SMR-Venom"]I think the real question is, why make the nunchuk wired? :oNintendo_Ownes7
It makes perfect sense to me to have a Nunchuk with a wire is because you wouldn't really have to move your arms apart and if you did the most you would ever have to move your arms apart is the lenth of the Wire holding the Wii remote and Nunchuk together. also if I have a wireless Nunchuk I think I might lose it eventhough I never lose anything videogame related.

then wtf would you think you would lose it if you never lose anything video game related lol

Because I lose everything else, I lost my Big Daddy figurine for a while it turns out it fell of my shelf when my mom was opening my window and fell behind the book shelf, my Nunchuk could do that since I leave my controllers on that same Book shelf.

Wow. I've never heard of such a topic as let's have a wired wiimote. :P

DUde, as everyone has stated above, rechargable batteries and a recharger I'm still using the same batteries from a year and a half ago. Never became an issue for me ever again.

SMR-Venom wrote:I think the real question is, why make the nunchuk wired?

Because they require more batteries. And the nunchuk is heavier and the weight can throw you off when swinging the nunchuk. I know, before they had wireless Nunchuks I too thought this same question, and later on I realized it was actually for the best for the Nunchuk to be wired.

The better question would be: why don't they make the PS3 controller wired?

Playing a Wii with a wired remote, for some games, would be rather hard.

not to mention i've been spoiled by having no wires this gen, i cant go back to having wires.

why dont you get a used or broken nunchuck (or anything that connects to wiimote) and the power source can be the wii by cutting the slot cord from a gc controller or ddr dancemat dont matter, or you can grab a usb cord cut of th slot b side and cut of all wires inside the cord exept the red (+) and black (-). p.s all wires on a usb cord are in the silver protector.

whats the point of being free from the other cord controllers if you join the crowd. besides cords short out if you don't take care of them.

Wired Wiimote?! You obviously never play Wii Sports. Buy rechargeable batteries. I've been using the same ones since launch.

I'm considering getting a battery charger station for the Wii, my budget is much too small however due to recent issuesto spend on batteries and I'm looking for a decent charger that's low in price. Are there are any good brands to go for that will work with the Wii?
I've noticed that a battery pack I had is no longer working, it stopped working after I got Animal Crossing last year and installed the required update, would a battery charger continue to work since Nintendo still hasn't released an offical one for the Wii yet?

I've been researching and looking for an offical Nintendo Wii Battery Charger, with no luck. Best I've seen was one by MadCatz, low price, pretty good costumer ratings.

Lol at wired Wiimotes. If that were to happen, I'd bolt my Wii to the floor and would need one heck of a long wire. Battery problem solved. :p

Senseless topic, it made me laugh. There was a discussion with nunchucks being wireless too. I prefer keeping it wired. It prevents confusion, and you never know, I might chuck the nunchuck by accident and it becomes a ninja star, then Nintendo would have to develop another precaution accessory. Wired wiimote and nunchuck actually holds each other together to help prevent oppsies to the TV.

i think it would be nice to be able to plug it into the console to charge it, rather than buying a charger seperately, but playing with a wired motion controller would be quite hazardous

Rechargeable batteries aren't that expensive. And no, not taking about the ones where you plug the remote into a docking station. I'm talking about real rechargeable AA batteries. The charger is like $20 and $5 buys you two of them I think.

Do you mean a setup kinda like the PS3? ~ That wouldn't work because of the reasons everyone else has listed it would most likely damage the machine ~

My budget, after paying the bills, is less than £10 for myself, if I'm lucky. I've managed to sort out having a little over £30 for myself next week, although that bit lower for more bills. I live in Scotland.

I'm not familiar with chargers in Scotland, but I know you can get the Eneloops there for about 11 pounds. Be leary of the super fast chargers (1 hour or less) as they tend to reduce the life of the battery (though that may not matter to you since the difference will be something like 100 charges instead of 500). Both La Crosse and Maha/Powerex make excellent chargers, plus you'll have the batteries for other things if you go this rout. I'm really not impressed with the battery packs available for the Wiimotes (most force you to leave the Wii on while you charge the batteries because they attache to the Wii's USB port).

Lol, I hope your not serious. Its called rechargeable batteries. Wired Wiimotes would create so many problems with ppl flailing around and prob. rip the cord out of the system every 2 minutes.

...guys, please don't post in this thread just to point out that it's old. You're kinda keeping it bumped too.
