most likely you need to choose "advanced" setup when you can configuring your dsi internet connection. you should be able to handle it from there. however do note that while you can connect to the dsiware shop and internet using your routers current security setting, ds games are made with wep security in mind and only wep. what it means is, if it asks for a wep key and you are usinig wpa2 or whatever, well guess what? you wont be connecting.
Has to be if Wii is online. Also for OP, search the error code on Nintendo.com once you get around to trying again. They're more helpful then us on that stuff. And if you still can't get it, call em up, I didn't think it'd be much help. but it totally was :D.
