As i have nothing better to do :P i thought i would ask this forum there oppions on the wii ( it will be abit bias but try answer truthfully )

im considering buying a wii now, its been 18months or so since launch...... i have always been a hardcore nintendo fan but i was rather disapointed when they released the wii as i just wanted literally gamecube mk 2 lol with all my favoriate francises like zelda etc. its not the wii and the whole inovated remote which is luring me in.... im just craving some sexy link action :P no matter how much i love my 360 and pc..... there is a space in my heart which needs filling with some zelda and mario games which nothing else can replace......

so my question is..... Is the wii really suitable for hardcore gamers? or do the whole "wii" element get in the way of good games? Basicly the only games i want are the obvious ones..... super paper mario, Galaxy, Zelda.

be good to have some veiws from people who have had there wii's for a while now. The devoted nintendo fans :P

Id say the Wii would definitly suit you by the sounds of it. I too have a 360 in my household but i have a Wii myself, and both are great consols that provide differnt fun and experience. I got mine about 8 months after launch and havnt regreted it at all, i would say the Wii is defitily worth it. You seem to be a fan of nintendo so id say you will enjoy the Wii and what it has to offer, and as with all consels, we havnt seen the best it can do till very late into the generations life. Plus you will still have your Pc and 360 to play aswell so by adding a Wii to your collection your just giving yourself even more choice for games to play. hope i was able to give you an unbiased opinion :)

I'm a long time Nintendo fan and I got the wii mainly for Metroid, Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart etc. I love it and the controls never feel forced and are very intuitive. I was a bit scared of the remote thingy but as soon as I picked up LoZ: TP i loved it cos its just as fun as any other.

Nintendo never disappoint!!

The Wii contols for Zelda TP were good but i actually preferd the Gamecube version. However if you like those controls you'll love Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy and Mariokart Wii. Oh and also make sure you pick up Super Smash Bros Brawl :D

If anybody is unsure of the Wii remote the best thing to do is to play Wii Sports, that convince pretty much anybody about how the Wii remote works :)

You sound as if your in a very similar situation as im in ( or were ). i do get concered i will just start playing and think dam these games would be so much better having a normal controller in my hands.... :P after like 12years im pretty good with them....

Haha  yeah dont worry alot of games (Zelda TP or Metroid Prime 3 for example) you can play casually sitting down and you wont look 'special' as you put it :P

On the other hand games such as Wii sports or Wario Ware Smooth moves are far better standing up messing about playing in a group. Oh after a few drinks they become even more fun :D
