Wii Game Recommendation thread - ALL 'Which game to get' questions HERE

Hi guys! Alright, I've got 40 bucks to spend and I'm planning on going to gamestop tonight, so I was wondering, what are some good games to get in that price range? I currently own: Super Mario Galaxy, DK Barrel Blast, Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, Sonic and the Secret Rings, and Wii Sports (obviously). I'm not old enough to buy rated M games on my own yet, so those are out of the question.

As soon as I get a general feel for it in the forum. I base the list of recommendations mostly on what most people here would say, not necessarily on reviews.

Basically, I want to wait until more people have actually played it and talked about it before I add it. I assume it'll probably end up on the list.

I think he's worried abotu after the release date, having a hard time finding NMH, whereas Brawl will always be around.

Zack and Wiki : Quest for Barbaro's Treasure is good.. I just started playing it. Best Buy has it for 30.00. other stores have it for 40.00 it seems. Super maro Galaxy is awesome and best game on wii. Wario Ware Smooth moves is my second best. Red Steel is worth 20.00 but the controls are little non responsive. I am just making a post for someone who is interested. Add me as a friend if they have that feature. I am new.

actually no...it's just i dont really know if NMH's worth getting as soon as possible

because while it's Score Overall Is Fantastic!(lots of positives reviews)

i can just be patient and wait for brawl(march 9th is still a long way off)

If I Had Not Gotten Silent Hill Origins(PSP)On Saturday....i would just be getting NMH Possibly the next time i was at the store...but now it's come down to...if i can somehow manage to find and get NMH...should i go though with it or just be patient for perhaps a longer game?

I am looking at Mario Party 8 currently.... It has some great reviews so far, from what I have played on the Wii with Mario Galaxy I cannot wait to get my copy of Party....

I have seen a ton of great Youtube videos on game play however most of them are still Japan but it does look like a great game with a ton of interactivity like Nintendo is known for.

I've heard Pokemon was pretty bad, but didnt expect it'd be the worse out of the 4 .. xD Because I heard you could import Pokemon from your DS to the Wii, but if that's all there is to it ... ^_^"

Next game I'm going to get would most likely be Super Paper Mario after all ^^
I was considering Mario Party also .. I have heard good and bad things about it .. So getting it or not?

I need a good wii game all i have is wii sports and Elebits. Elebits is fun but kinda confusing. I want a game that cleverly uses the wii mote. Any suggestions?Sadguy4243

its a very good game i found it quite addicting for the price its good if you dont have it you should consider getting it

i actually just got the game yesterday and i have played it for like 5hrs and now im getting a bit bored. but for 20 bucks and being able to use the zapper for other games its well worth it. Also ill get back into crossbow training in about a week

Probably No More Heroes. I've never played it but by the way that people are gushing about it, I'd say that's your best choice. Endless Ocean I've heard is also a good game. Very relaxing. And I've heard nothing of One Piece so I can't tell you.

This may be a little bit of a crazy question, but are there any flight simulator type games for Wii?

I'm wanting to throw a birthday party for my brother and the theme is going to be based around planes/flying, most likely, or it may be a little more toward general travel/vacation. I'm trying to come up with different stations/games to play and I thought something like flight simulator would be cool. I used to have it for the PC, but don't know if I still have my copy, even if I did I would have to use my old laptop, which I would prefer not to do, but can if I have to.

Ideally, I would like a game similar to flight simulator, or anything that has more to do with atual flying a plane and not so much shooting games.

If that isn't possible, anything based on travel may work as well. But I have no clue what to look for in this.

Really, it doesn't even have to be a great game. I just plan to rent (hopefully Blockbuster will have it) it and use it for one day and take it back, but I want to tie it into the theme as much as possible.

im not really into the fps genre but id like to get into to it. so im trying to deciede between re4(i know its third person but close enough) or medal of honor heroes 2. medal of honor has online but re4 is cheaper...any suggestions? Chefboyrd03

RE4 is the best!! It has great extras after you finish so youll never be bored! It took me around 24 hours to finish the game so youll be playing for a while :) Great graphics, story, characters etc

Ive read that MoHH2 doesnt take that long to finish, but has great online play. Im hoping that CoD5 comes to the Wii soon because apparently it is, but CoD4 isnt.
Im also curious about Disaster: Day of Crisis as I love natural disater and weather type things. Im also hoping that RE5 is coming to Wii but im not sure of the release dates of this or Disaster if or when they come to Wii.

So:

What do I do? Do I wait? I really dont want to waste my money. You can tell me about more about the games if you want altohugh ive watched trailer and read reviews for ALL of them. Its prolly best to just hire MoH and CoD but if theyre no good then I wont bother anyway. I really like how some of them have multiplayer (v important for me to have) and online. If you give out your Wii code can that person only access you through that game, or can they send you stuff on the messageboard if they have your code?

So do i just wait a few months till the better ones come out, because I can wait a while.

RE5 is not coming to the wii so scratch that. Call of duty 3 sucks, for is not coming, and 5 you would have to wait for and hope that it is coming so scratch that. Disaster i have never played so i say MOH if you have online.

Get Medal of Honour. We don't know when Disaster will be out and I highly doubt Call of Duty 4 or 5 on the Wii. Same with RE5. Medal of Honour has great online play, a nice campain with lots of replayability (unlockable awards and medals, higher difficultys, 100% objective completion ration...) and it has a nice arcade mode which is a nice diversion. Graphics are decent but controls are great and overall the game is worth recommending.

OK I was told that RE4 was extremely easy, this put me off buying it, despite the fact that it may be easy, I'm deciding between this and Metroid... any suggestions?FrozenSharingan

It's not extremely easy, trust me, pick it up as either a rental or a purchase, you will have fun with it. No questions asked... :)

Whoever told you that is an idiot. It takes most people around 20hrs or more to finish, and even after that you have great extras which will keep you coming back again and again. And after you finish some of those extras, you get more extras :)
