is anyone else dissapointed about the majority of thegames that are out for the wii or is it just me???

Same. I have a huge list of games that I didn't get yet out of the ones that have been released, and a pretty big list of upcoming games that I am looking forward to. Of the ones that I have played, I like most of them to varying degrees. Some I absolutely love, some I kind of like, though I wouldn't say are amazing by any means, and anywhere in between.Actually,I find myself getting cornered by the amount of good games coming out.

Shovelware comes with the territory of being market leader, however publishers are also taking advantage of the fact that a number of Wii owners don't know shovelware when they see it, so its coming in at an even higher rate than it did on the PS2. Lastly toss in the fact that so called hardcore gamers don't buy games not from established franchises so you can never be too sure a game you sink alot of money and resources into will sell well.is anyone else dissapointed about the majority of thegames that are out for the wii or is it just me???

Are they dissappointing because you owned, played & completed them, then found it dissappointing? ..or were you looking for titles that is the same as other consoles & did not find them on Wii? or you just looking for those AAAAAAA titles because if its not given 9/10 or 10/10 by a reviewer you won't bother trying?
Im playing my Wii more now actually.
Another thread about this! Man people need to really research the console first. Is it that hard to make a list of games that they want before purchasing the console? Before someone says they bought it within the first few months your own fault. I always wait a year or two before or when a really outstanding game comes out before purchasing a console.
The Wii is not made for everyone. If you're looking for more mature games and you bought the Wii expecting there to be more M games than games actually designed for young children, then it's your own fault. Nintendo has a certain market that they're targetting and obviously it's working very well for them and will continue to do well. They're not trying to tailor to M rated games considering that the market area that they're trying to mainly target are younger crowd and older crowd. It's obvious the market that Microsoft and Sony are trying to target and they're doing well with people in those areas and not as well in Nintendo's market.

I didn't know that violence was so important to gaming
You are shallow
I am more disappointed by the large amount of anti-wii threads in the gamespot forums than I am in the Wii's library. The wii's library is very solid.
There are so many games I am looking forward to buying though,
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Monkey Ball
SSX Blur

If you're disapointed with games on the wii including most of those then sell our wii because wii is diverse and doesn't make mainly make shooters and rpgs, which you'd probably like if you don't like most of those.
Play Wii games before you decide to attack Wii games.
If you haven't played at least 4 of these (or plan to in the future)...
Then you really have no room for complaints, it's no one elses fault but your own if you can't buy/play games.

Alot of those are on my radar, but sadly....I will never own the majority of them. Well, maybe if I sell a kidney
I HAD to buy those demitri martin tickets. then Music as a Weapon tour comes around. so yeah I feel for you. I burned all my cash on shows and now boom, games. And I'm broke. wheres that paycheck I should be getting -.-Actually,I find myself getting cornered by the amount of good games coming out.

There hasn't been a must own title come out since SSBB, which has been a long time. There have been a lot of decent 3rd party titles come out though, like Madworld, COD WaW, Excitebots, and a couple others. Overall, I would give the Wii over the last year a C+.
[QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]I agree. I don't have enough cash to buy all these games! Agreed, I have never been more happy to own a wii. With Klonoa and Madworld just released and Little King's Story, Cave Story and Let's Tap right around the corner, Im overwhelmed with the amount of games i want. I may actually double my wii's library by the end of the summerActually,I find myself getting cornered by the amount of good games coming out.

I have 22 games worth playing and I still want games that I missed and upcoming games. I also have over30 VC/wiiware games. When people say not enough, how fricken rich are they? I can only afford so much at a time and I had the Wii since launch.
It seems like a theres been a huge spike in people claiming that the wiis library is failing and I find this weird because I feel like the line up for the rest of the year has a lot of potential. I understand there are always going to be some people claiming, but the timing for what seems like an increase in complainers seems a little strange. Does this usually happen before E3 along with the people who over-hype? Could people just have stopped looking for wii titles and therefore have no reason to look to the future? Why does there seem to be more topic threads and just users in general expressing disaproval? Most complain about a complete drought the existence of which is arguable, but why would the number of these people have a sudden increase? If anyone provides an answer it would be helpful.
Whether you with agree with them or not, maybe they actually have a point. Maybe the Wii's library really has been disappointing to a large portion of Wii owners. It isn't because of E3. It isn't because of E3. Some people are just legitimately disappointed with the Wii's recent performance. Its not about whether or not I agree with them. They could be justly disappointed, maybe the wii has absolutely no games that interest them. But I am still curious as to why so many people seem to be popping up now. I tossed in a little speculation and ill toss in a little more. Maybe people are starting to get off from school and more people are posting in the forums with complaints cuz the games arent filling their free time any more. I am just trying to figure out why there seems to be more complainers this last week or so compared to the months ive looked at these boards. Its even possible its just a perceived increase by me. But I got the feeling something might be triggering these reactions and I'm just curious as to what might have caused it.It seems like a theres been a huge spike in people claiming that the wiis library is failing and I find this weird because I feel like the line up for the rest of the year has a lot of potential. A lot of people don't like party games or on rail games, and the wii has a significant amount of those. Some people refuse to buy games they had or played on GC and PS2, regardless of the new motion controls. I, myself would probably have more wii games if they priced them for what they are worth. Warioland, and de blob. Some games like Animal crossing might still be good, but if it isn't that different from the DS or GC versions, why bother? Some people are disappointed because it is going on 3 years since the launch of the system and we still don't have some key franchises like a proper zelda, F-zero, and starfox. We don't have some minor key franchises like Pilotwings, Wave Race, Kirby, a proper Donkey Kong, some kind of cool game by factor 5. A few of the games out there like Fire Emblem and Paper Mario kind of don't count because they were already finished projects moved to Wii and not built for wii. It doesn't have any key third party games at the moment. It has a lot of spin off games. It is kind of nice that monster hunter 3 and DQ 10 are coming to wii because finally nintendo can start getting some games from a proper series. It's not even just the fact that some parts of the key franchises are not out in the 3 years, nintendo hasn't even thought about making any of them it seems like. We have always had star fox and f-zero within at least the second year of a nintendo system, other than before they were debuted. Wave Race was a pretty cool title for both n64 and GC, why did it not release on Wii. Why was Pilotwings dropped? There are games out there that are fun, but nothing truly amazing has come out in about a year
Stop comparing the systems libraries. All systems are diverse, the other sets have more than shooters and RPG's, you just have to look harder.
