If possible, you should play your Wii on a standard, non-HD TV.
Ironically, it looks better like that.
Keep the component cables, though. Obviously.

I agree. Kinda, I haven't got an HD TV but have played my Wii on a 15" CRT and a 28" CRT and it looks much better on the 15" Colours are brighter and textures are smoother.
It makes sense comparing it with HD and CRT though as the Wii is a standard definition console. Of course it's gonna look bad on a 50-60 inch HD screen when, even though it can do 480p, it's essentially made for a regualr Television.

Just because the Wii isn't a 360 or PS3 doesn't mean its games look like a N64!! Not even GC games looked like they were meant for the N64. You are either messed up or your TV is. Do you even know what N64 graphics look like??? Also, what Zelda game did you pop in? Maybe there's a joke in this.
Personally, I believe we all knew this before buying the console that it was not going to support 1080p. Why are people still getting upset about it? I have a friend that has a 60" JVC 1080p, plays his Wii on it, and the first Xbox, and has told me that the Wii doesn't look as bad as he thought it was going to. He's running the components and all, and hasn't complained yet. I think there is a line that needs to be drawn in the video game world. The line that separates realistic from fantasy. Frankly, why would you want your video games to look just like real life? Last time I checked, video games were supposed to be an escape from real life realism. Be thankful people we could easily still be in the Atari 2600 days. E.T. need I say more? For all the fareweather Nintendo fans out there, bashing about the graphics.....go buy an Atari and then complain about the graphics. I'm very satisfied personally; I lived through those days.......games were hell back then!

I bet E.T.'s gameplay kept you coming back though, huh. :)
Does that game actually suck as much as people say it does? I've seen in game vids of it and it does look bad but just how bad is it?
