Wii Hd cables question

I just bought the wii hd cables by nintendo, and i set the wii to 480p. But, it doesnt really change a thing i tried various games. Is this normal, should i give them back and get my 45 bucks (cdn)

You need an HDTV to see the biggest difference, and it also depends on what game you're playing. I don't think it makes any difference at all in Wii Sports, but in Zelda, everything is sharper, crisper, more vivid, etc.

The only place you're really going to notice any kind of a difference will be on an LCD, DLP or Plasma display.  HDTV CRT's really don't show much of a difference when switching from 480i to 480p.

i have a 50 inch plasma, so should i give it back i didnt see much diffrence in zelda

You're not going to notice much of a difference anyways.  The change from 480i to 480p is minimal.

That part isn't true. A CRT set will give you the best picture out of everything and should show a large difference in picture with the cables.

 I find it odd that you see zero change in the picture though. In each and every game and stage you don't see a single bit of difference?

Oh, it's quite true.  I don't see much of a difference at all, I did not say "zero change".  The image is a little smoother, that's it.

Components make the picture more clear and the colour more vibrant.  There's a big difference between components and composite regardless of the display.
