Better late then never. It should have been there originally, but there's nothing we can do about that now.Jimmi323think about it before you speak. Were you going to buy a Wii if you knew each controller (complete set) would have costed $80? The whole technology was present in the past but it went against Nintendo's "cheap" strategy. Yeah it sucks, but in all honesty. I don't care anymore, just bring out already.
No it was not expected when the Wii launched
The tech wasn't ready to be used in this application in the controller until the start of this year.
Now what would you rather have? Have the Motion Plus added later or have the Wii launch 2 and a half years late?

Hey Jayson where have you been? I haven't seen you in the forums for days.

Wii Motion Plus was not added due to the price, the tech was certainly there anad available. As long as future games support it, I do not see why people would have a prblem. For Wii 2 I expect well beyond Wii Motion Plus or the regular controller. No it was not expected when the Wii launched

I can see what the OP is saying, and Nintendo has pulled this stunt before. They make the first run of any console or peripheral half-assed, so they can release something better later on and make more money. For Wii 2 I expect well beyond Wii Motion Plus or the regular controller. kardineAmen. I would much rather have a real game controller than anymore of this motion-controlled crap, if it isn't going to make much progress on the technology front.

So what are you suggesting would be a good controller for Wii 2 because if we get another dual analog controller that would be a huge step backwards.

I do think that, somewhere and somehow, we can make a controller that immerses you in the game, but we must not be able to make that yet. The controller is fun, comfortable, enjoyable, and works - that is why it has been around for decades. Same thing goes for PC games - the mouse and keyboard works for PC gaming and doing anything we can do right now on a PC, even if something better could one day exist. But if this wii remote thing remains in place, gaming as we know it will die.

The analog was not just perfect right from the get go. It took a progression of games using it better and better. The Wii Remote is a step forward esp when we see there is potential for even better motion and IR control.

For me, its not that analogs are bad its that there is room for improvement, yet there is a large amount of gamers that are afraid of that improvement. They simply refuse, even now, to see motion controls and IR as viable improvement. We all know the big three will embrace motion controls and IR in some form next gen. So I am guessing all those people who bash it will be ok with it because their favorite little company is using it.[QUOTE="kardine"][QUOTE="Ovirew"]I think the wii remote was already a huge step backwards.
