Hallo guys,
Im wondering something, how does the wii look on a 46/47/50 inch tv? Im planning to upgrade my tv set but i dont want my wii to turn into a major jaggiefest.

Would you guys be so kind to post some photo's of random wii games on your HDTVs(preverably 47/50inch), in my country im unable to take my console to the store to check it out. It would really help me allot.

thanks in advance,
marcel

I only have a 42" but it looks great on my TV. You should get a plasma, they are much better at displaying non-HD images than LCDs. If you have any content that's not HD it's the way to go. Also of course get component cables and switch your Wii to 480p Widescreen.

Ive got a 360 and a wii and want the best quality for both, is plasma still the way to go (is it crystal sharp in HD on plasma or fuzzier than lcd?) would you mind to post a pic so i can see?

The issue with any of us posting a pic is it won't do you anygood. Taking a picture of a TV displaying images severly downgrades the quality to the point where you can't make objective comparisons, only grabbing screenshots from the TV will help, which is only possible with high end AV equipment that I doubt any of us here have.

The differences between Plasma and LCD are well written about on the internet. In general Plasma's offer better picture quality, deeper colors, faster refesh rates, and faster response times. LCDs offer lighter sets, less power consumption, and more resistance to glare. In genernal a Plasma set will offer a better picture quality whether the source is HD or not, and I can attest to a Wii looking beautiful in 480p mode on a 42in plasma. I suppose its all in what you think looks good. Personally I think sharper is better, I don't like muddy and blur.

Yeah plasma is great for both. Really both plasma and LCD are fine for HD sources but plasma is way better for SD and ED sources so that way you got both covered. I've owned both LCD and plasma and have both game systems so I know for sure.

this is going to boil down to your tvs ability to upscale the image. I have a 47" LCD, and it's fantastic.

but the ammount of jaggies is the same?, know the shots where blurry:P
(found a better picture here )

i found it to be a much better picture than my 4 year old 37 inch 720p television. for example mario's hat on my tv haslotsjaggies on it, and i dont see that on those pictures.
