while a agree with you I don't think these re-releases are a big deal, they are still making plenty of new games. What you say is intellegent, but I wish you'dstop being such a drama queen and move on.

This isn't the end of the world, it's not the end of gaming. Take it easy.

EDIT:

I partially appologize, I thought you made this thread recently, but some imature user bumbed it last february.

*facepalm* So what if they're making remakes. If you don't like them, ignore them. Simple as that.

Some remakes may be nice but most of the time I don't really want remakes. I mean think about Klonoa. It looks great but would'nt a sequel be even better?

Hmm I dunno for me it depends how good the game is and if its worth remaking. I dont mind remakes but if there being remade all the time I'd wish they would take more time putting more originality.

Do I never stop or is this thread from Feb and I called this all along? Since this thread is from Feb it would appear that I was right all along and called it almost a half year before it happened.

As I said in another thread, some people are under the impression that a remake or port takes development time away from real new games. Show me official line from Nintendo that says they're disregarding new titles for remakes and I'll agree with you, until then remakes should be seen as bonuses, not replacements for new titles.

you should really read the posts above you before you post... or maybe just the date of the thread. This thread was made WAY before nintendo announced anything... Jaysonguy just totally called it.

Actually you shouldn't jump to conclusions, I wasn't referring to the recent cube ports to Wii, I was referring to Nintendo remaking games in general, which is what this (rather long and old) topic is about is it not? And don't shoot me I'm not the one that dravedug this topic, if you wanna fire shots go after the guy that ripped this joke of a topic from the depths of the Wii forum. Until this topic is closed I'm entitled to enter my opinion in response to the posters above me, unless the objects of a discussion forum has changed?

If this is an old thread it should've been locked. PERIOD. Old threads are not to be "bumped", a new thread should just be made according to the mods. But hey, I'm no mod.

As a result, I completely disagree with this thread.

First of all, Jaysonguy didn't predict nothing. We got what, sequels to existing games and a couple of remakes? So what? Every system has that flaw. And I wouldn't even call it a flaw! Punchout, remade, with wiicontrols, everyone should be praising the Nintendo gods for this one.

Look at the end of the day this is all completely "predictable". Every system since the NES has had the same predictable trends. The bottomline is, if these "remakes" or "sequels" have any bearing on whether or not we play new Nintendo ip's then I might agree with this thread.

Aside from that this thread is pointless. No gaming has been hurt, nothing "unpredictable" has happened, and therefore Nintendo gaming is continuing as usual.

Wait, so he called these remakes?

Sheesh guys look at logic for oh say...5 seconds.

We have had remakes since there have been games to remake.

Don't buy them. I doubt any of you bought that Bratz! game. What makes this any different?

Its not going to take up space for newer games.

Nintendo is MOST LIKELY, IN MY OPINION, working on new titles that THEY HAVE NOT CONFIRMED YET.

Last time I checked, none of us were higher ups at Nintendo. We don't know what they are planning until they tell us.

And even they can keep secrets.

The remaking of gamecube games isn't going to interfere with the development of new games. Also, many of those games are hard to find for the people new to gaming. Don't worry, they will still make new original, zelda, mario, metroid, etc games for the wii at the same time. There isn't a set amount of games that nintendo can make at full capacity, and if there is it is probably quite high, so resources won't be redirected from new projects to the remakes. Besides, the remakes will take much less time to develop then the other games, therefore needing less resources. With all the shovelware out there, we should be happy that nintendo is making as many games as possible. Of course for business reasons they won't make and release all of their awesome new game ideas at one time, they will spread them out, and give us remakes as fillers for the time inbetween the major releases.
