Hahahahaha. they should stop trying to make the Wii users on GS happy. majority of us stopped coming here for reviews. GS is only good for their forums. After Gertsman left, this site's reviews began to fallapart. Now all they care about are ad's and money. mostly CNETS fault.
caught me off guard. but i guess it ruins the whole "bias against wii" theory... or not >_> stupid fanboys always find something to complain about >_>BrunoBRS
Seriously, some people will find something to complain about, regardless of how glum the situation truly is. All of this time, people around here have been complaining about GS' alledged bias against Wii games for the scores they've been giving certain games, and when a game comes along that gets a good score, they manage to see something negative in it. I'm not even sure how such a mentality comes about, and quite honestly, it's disturbing. This Wii Sports Resorts review falls in line with most of the other ones I've seen; the game appears to have some activities that gravitate towards some people more than others, but the overall package is enjoyable and MotionPlus is definitely legit. That's seems to be the gist of things, and if that's the case, the game is worthy of the scores it's getting.
If the original Wii Sports got a similar score and this game has more to offer and a better control scheme, why did anyone expect worse?

@ the last sentence/question: i think the same thing everytime i read someone saying "GS will probably give it a 6.5..."caught me off guard. but i guess it ruins the whole "bias against wii" theory... or not >_> stupid fanboys always find something to complain about >_>BrunoBRS
A pitiful attempt to throw us conspiracy theorists off their trail? If they don't actually give a legit review every once in a while, we would find the reviewers and attack them in their sleep or something. lol 8)
To those saying Gamespot isn't bias against the Wii, you're partially right. This review was done by Gamespot UK; the reviewer was kinda weird, but he was very objective in his review.
Gamespot US on the other hand, are bias pieces of ****
Wow! I don't care for Gamespot's reviews, but when they give a game a really good review I always check it out (because they're such snobs usually). Glad to see this game is being so well recieved! I can not wait for Sunday
Yeah GS reviewers are at least when it comes to Wii. Anywho, I am stoked about the Swordbattling portion. As I was watching the preview on the Nintendo channel, they went deeper into the gameplay and it was awesome. I like the accurate strike mode. I still wish they had Boxing on it though. I don't care if it's a resort, its a video game first and that means they can put whatever they want in it. I want Online Motion Plus Boxing.
please tell me you're joking...A pitiful attempt to throw us conspiracy theorists off their trail? If they don't actually give a legit review every once in a while, we would find the reviewers and attack them in their sleep or something. lol 8)

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"]wow how original, Jasonguy not liking a popular Wii game. he's so cool if you guys just ignore him when you disagree, he'd stop it. quote him when i's worth quoting.Generous score
Nuck81
Gamespot gave a higher score to a Wii game than IGN? That blows my mind.

I know! I can't believe it either.
Maybe there was a mixup. Lol.

Yeah, I'm just being humorous. Maybe I should put a disclaimer in these things...

after the things i've seen, i kinda became paranoid and have to ask everyone if they're joking or being serious :| i saw someone complaining to a nintendo magazine that the editors werent all fanboys. WTF?I have to say that this is the best review of the game i've seen so far... Video that is. I like this guy as a reviewer... Very relaxed. One small gripe... Why in the bad section is there a reference to the Wii M+ add on... Isn't this a little over the top, as if searching for a complaint? Sure we have to buy something else, but whatever as long as it makes the game better. Small complaint.

Small complaint.skingushe wanted to make clear you need a motion+ for every player. where else would you put "you need to pay extra 18 dollars for each player in the multiplayer mode"? he's not complaining, he's stating.

this is one of the very few times I agree with Jason. Its not just generous though. Its bloated. Its downright outrageous.Generous score

That's what I like to hear :). I really can't wait until Sunday to pick this up. Especially excited for the object-slicing mode of sword fighting and archery. But I am a little shocked at Gamespot's score, but in a good way. The "Wii [Title]" games seem to have been getting lower scores as time went on. But this is Wii Sports so it has to be good :P.I have had the game for a month now, and being a bit more in the position to comment on the long-term and single-player value, I am disappointed in this score.
Wii Sports Resort is better than 8/10.

It does bother me thaat you have to buy and extra thing to play this game. Honestly I wasen't all thate xcited about this in the first place. Ill stick with the original for some fun times on the occasion.

The game comes with a Wii Motion Plus, however if you're talking about multiplayer mode, then yes, you would need an extra Wii Motion Plus to play 2 play, and 2 Wii Motion Pluses for 3 player, etc.
As for the review, again, I'm surprised to hear that no one likes cycling. That game looks like it might be one of my favorites.
