A realistic close quarters tactical shooter in the vein of SWAT 3 & 4, SOCOM (not counting 4), & Rainbow Six (not counting Lockdown & Vegas 1/2) that let's you plan the missions, customize everything (soldier classes, what soldiers you want on the mission, what weapons you all have, map planning, etc.), strategize on the map, & use authentic weaponary. Rather than using health packs or regenerating health, there should be a traditional to tactical shooters 1 hit kill system but to add to the realism, you bleed out if shot at a certain angle (this was used in ArmA and Operation Flashpoint). The multiplayer should have dedicated servers, let you customize how you want your game to be played, & teamwork is required; so if you don't have a mic, you'll be a nuisance. The singleplayer should be a string of open ended levels which always let you play them how you want to play them rather than having generic corridors where the only option is to run and gun. Don't make another Halo or Call of Duty, tap a market for realistic tactical shooters which have been left out of consoles ever since this generation aside from Dragon Rising & Red River.
A sci-fi FPS taking place in modern times where you play as a cybernetic US Army Ranger with the ability to hack any electronics, which you will sometimes need to do to advance. I want to see lots of long levels (some taking as long as 1 hour) in the campaign with secret areas, as well as a Survival Mode (similar to that in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3) that is unlocked when you complete the game. And the multiplayer can be like Call of Duty's multiplayer. Enemies in the campaign should consist of human terrorists, robots, and vehicles. I would also like to see boss fights at certain points in the game. Weapons will consist of real-life modern weapons as well as a few fictional weapons.
No tactical shooters, though.

I definately like the tactical shooter idea but i think that it should be along the lines of previous successfull FPS's that were on nintendo platforms previously such as golden eye and PD.
i just think they should have their own first party nintendo exclusive franchise, regardless of third party support

Its the cover art for the original System Shock, GameSpot's profile picture settings are a pain in the ass so I'm stuck with this.
Id like to see one like Elders Scrolls. Not the RPG side of it, but the first person sword fighting etc. How many games actually feature that?

I don't see what's wrong with the idea of a tactical FPS.

Tactical games are way too hard and complex (at least for me). I played Delta Force 2 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, but I didn't like those games. So I am saying no to tactical games.
halo or ratchet and clankish. that doesnt seem too nintendo.i think i'd prefer a halo or ratchet and clank-ish experience.COD bis bland to me

I would like a tactical stealth shooter with some futuristic scifi in it. Like some breaking into alien bases and stealing information and hacking into their computer databases. Then bustin out like a pro before anyone even notices.I don't see what's wrong with the idea of a tactical FPS.

It still has the Conduit which are good games. If they had a bigger budget, the games could be great.
It's getting Zombie U:

Looks decent so far.
But yeah, something along the lines of "Perfect Dark meets Mirror's Edge meets Metroid Prime" could be great if made by a talented team (read: Retro).
Maybe could be backed by a big movie license like GoldenEye was too.
get the rights to make games based off the movie the matrix or any of that series for an FPS and i would sell my sould for it.
If there is one thing the Wii U is unlikely to be lacking, its FPS. There is no need for Nintendo to make another one. SepewrathIf you think about it, its one of the genres Nintendo has ignored especially on an in house development level. So it would be nice to see their personal take on First Person anything, not necessarily a shooter.
Metroid Prime is as close to FPS as I want Nintendo to get. They should make sure they get the CODs, Battlefields, Bungie's next shooter, Bioshock and Half Life. Also new Timesplitters if it comes out. That'd cover the best single and multiplayer FPS games, imo.locopathoI would prefer it Nintendo made a sequel to Geist on the Wii U that was good though it had some frame rate issues on the GCN.
I would prefer it Nintendo made a sequel to Geist on the Wii U that was good though it had some frame rate issues on the GCN. It was a good concept that was held back by an aged engine. The Wii was a good fit for a sequel the Wii U is a match made in heaven.[QUOTE="locopatho"]Metroid Prime is as close to FPS as I want Nintendo to get. If they were, it would have to be Sci-Fi in the vein of Halo.
They're going to get (one way or another) Call of Duty:roll: , Battlefield and Medal of Honor.
So they definitely do not need another military shooter. But a definitive quality shooter on the WiiU could attract the Casual/Core.
im sayin people, a stealth fps like golden eye. just let retro take care of it and let them come up with their own IP.
How about a StarFox FPS? It could be done in the vein of Timesplitters. Serious but comedic!!ShoTTyMcNaDeS
Bad idea imo. If anything, they could improve the 3rd person shooter sections of Star Fox Assault and making them actually enjoyable (think Jet Force Gemini or MDK).

Good bet that The Conduit makes an appearence on the WiiU. How about a StarFox FPS? It could be done in the vein of Timesplitters. Serious but comedic!! How about StarWars BF3 with FPS or TPS views!ShoTTyMcNaDeSDoubt The Conduit would make anymore appearance after The Conduit 2 :P

This. I want online first person sword fighting all v all deathmatches.
Just swords I want other Medieval weapons aswell.Stuff like Swords, Axes, Halberds, Morningstars, and other Medieval weapons.
I would want a hack and slash, not an FPS. Think of a game like DMC, where the people that want the challenge can enjoy the deep combat for SSS and the people that dont can still have a blast while still doing some cool combos with the fast fluid combat. A good story with great characters to boot would be nice.

Some ranged stuff like crossbows and knives would be fine too so long at they are unweildly like they are in real life.
Another Metroid Prime game would be great!
Imagine your Health, Missiles, Weapons, Map, Menus, all on the Wii U gamepad!
I honestly believe there are enough FPS games out there but metroid prime isn't what you think of when you hear FPS.
If High Voltage Software could develop a really well made conduit game i think that could be a good 3rd party title.
Just swords I want other Medieval weapons aswell.[QUOTE="Nintendo_Ownes7"]
