yea, mario paintball. If nintendo did it right, it would be one of the best FPS ever. could even put some elements from zelda or metroid into it. if done right, with upgrades and level systems that rival COD, but with mario(because its nintendo) it could be awesome. Just like a Starcraft style game done with mario/zelda/metroid/dk/universes...

Looks decent so far.

But yeah, something along the lines of "Perfect Dark meets Mirror's Edge meets Metroid Prime" could be great if made by a talented team (read: Retro).

Maybe could be backed by a big movie license like GoldenEye was too.

Appears to be listed on some sites as Adventure, some as survival horror, and some as an action Rpg.

Metroid Prime was good, and unique that seperates it from being an FPS exactly

Mix it with a major upgrade to the DS game's rather Interesting Multiplayer mode and BOOM

Like Metroid Prime, eventhough there is a first person perspective and even shooting in it does not mean it follows the basic tenants of the SHOOTER genre. If you can see what I am saying, Zombie U has guns has a first person perspective but it delves with elements of exploration, resource management, and survival. In a pure bred shooter you are more of a hunter and your dealing with enemies in a way different than adventure and horror games.
