Third parties can't get a break on the wii. Either their games are not up to snuff, or simply no one cares. On a console with a long history of good third party games going unnoticed, will Epic Mickey break the trend? Will the Micky Mouse name alone sell it? Will it be high enough quality to get the core wii gamer willing to buy a non-nintendo product?

Or will it just be another sales flop?

it's mickey. on a videogame. but it isn't just that. it's a good mickey game (about time, haven't heard those 3 words together since the SNES) on the most popular console this generation, known for attracting the "casual crowd", which seems like the kind of person who'd buy a mickey game. i have faith in it.

I would estimate about 2.5-3 million copies sold total.

Since the game is getting a lot of positive attention and Mickey is world-famous, it will likely sell pretty well. And with so many kids having wiis (not saying it's only for them), it is definately being made for the right system.

I would say that the timing is right for good sales. Just before Christmas and a large user base, but ultimately, they will need to advertise.

For some reason i think it will. I meanhow long as it been since the last mickey mouse game on a Nintendo console? I remember this good one on the Snes, used to play it all the time. Although this isn't a game i would go out and buy on day one, it does look like a pretty awesome game. Hope it sells well as the devs have seem to put alot of effort into it.

License games, good, bad or adequate will do well for themselves with enough exposure.

I honestly have no idea. It is Mickey, but the game is full of rather obscure references that only the most hardcore Disney fans can get, and it also takes place in a very dark world.

It could go either way.

I doubt it. It's Mickey Mouse, but a "dark" take, it's not really the cute and cuddly game that would sell millions. Not that I'm complaining, this way seems more interesting.

I hope so, it will have a significant marketing campaign, and like all Wii games it will have a long shelf life. Having Mickey Mouse on its cover should help alot.

Well seeing as i guessed Kirby's epic yarn would not even sell 500,000 copies and i was right. Epic Mickey will do really well i say 2 million copies sold.

Well let's see what matters to the people buying it

Ok, it says Disney at the top and usually that's a good sign but all we need to see is Disney's PURE to see that just the logo doesn't mean sales. It's starker on this box art so that might help.

Now who is this game aimed at? Little kids, let's see how they're going to attract them.....

Plain white box with a splash of a very dark navy color, now let's see what other Mickey stuff looks like and how they aim it......

Lots of colors, bunch of different things happening on the box at one time, you can actually see the rodent's face!

I don't think it's going to sell well at it's original price. I can't see a little kid being attracted to the box art and I can't see a parent attracted either while they're shopping for the little kid. It's subject material makes it a lock that older people wont be into it so it's not really aiming at it's intended audience.

I don't think it's going to sell very well at all.
