There's always hope but I don't see why this version would do any better than the PSP or PS2 games so far?

The perfect score from Famitsu comes to mind
Yes easily because it will be the first thing like Phantasy Star Online that the Wii has and it looks great so yeah. It has all the requirements, Great Looking Game, Addictive looking gameplay, customizable characters, online co-op play and a perfect score from a trustworthy site (For those who give a crap about scores - I don't). Yep, it could, then it's on a highly reputable console so yeah, it will.

Wow, a perfect score? I think it will do great in the west.
I think this is going to make the series big in the West for a couple of reasons:
I just hope they don't make it that you have to pay to play online here in the West, that would suck
It will do good if it is advertised correctly. It has everything needed to be great but if not properly advertised, it still won't do well.

That's what I was thinking too. It's probably a really good game, but if the devs don't get the word out, since it isn't so big here in NA, it probably won't do as well as it could have.
I hope not because then we would have to pay and I am really cheap. Other then that I think this game is going to be awesome
If by BIG you mean reach a Japan-like popularity then the answer is no. I am still not sure about the quality of the title since I really don't trust that Famitsu score seeing how the franchise is huge in Japan, but I think it will do more for the franchise than the PSP and PS2 games did.
[QUOTE="JLF1"]the gigantic promo capcom pulled just for japan. The announced support from Nintendo to promote it.Big differences from the past versions. There's always hope but I don't see why this version would do any better than the PSP or PS2 games so far?

All I'm saying is that people shouldn't expect huge sales or great scores in US and EU just because that happend in Japan. I will however buy it if it's released in EU no matter the score, promo or sales it gets.
All i know is, GS isn't going to help it. "WHAT! No Mii support? And you still can't lock on?? 5.0...Devs these days."
So true. They'll probably say something like "full of waggle", "steep learning curve" then say "too easy to play" and "unresponsive controls" just so they could find something negative to say about it.All i know is, GS isn't going to help it. Hehe, yah. I still don't get why the heck they docked the score 'cause of no Mii Support. I don't think they'll be that harsh to Monster Hunter, though. I just hope they don't dock any points for no lock-on.
