Will Older 2DS Users Be Looked Down Upon?

I'm 21 years old and really considering purchasing a 2DS because I can't really afford to shell out $170 or $200 for a 3DS if I only want Animal Crossing and Pokemon X/Y and never plan on using the 3D feature. Will older gamers become the butt of jokes for purchasing one?

an old buddy of mine was carrying iron knuckles with him just to beat anyone that made fun of him in public for playing his ds.i was witness to at least 6 beatings.felt great to see douches bleeding on the ground

im buying a 2ds to go along side my 3ds and 3ds xl , ill use it but my 3dsxl is my main unit like if im on a long trip , ill have one unit turned off and use it when the other dies ,

whenever i see anyone on any sort of portable game thing, my only thought of them is... auh! what are they playing!?!? im not sure what ill get from knowing. its a rather assertive conviction, and i cant help it.

if they had a 2ds that folded when i bought my 3ds, i'd get it in a heartbeat.

it not folding is, in a manner, its purpose for existing; at least partly. without a bend, heartless 3 yr. olds wont be able snap it in half when they rage quit: not without hulk strength anyway.

Don't worry about what people think. Honestly, if It had the same size screen as the 3DS XL, I'd pick it up for that price. Thus, if you really want a 3DS though, go on eBay. Even the XL's sometime sell for $150 or less.

who cares what people think. unless they are buying you a 3ds or 3dsxl they should keep their opinions and statements to themselves.

I'm 24 and I considered getting a 2DS, because it's better than the regular 3DS in pretty much every aspect. Then I got a really good deal on a used 3DS, so I got one. Had I purchased a new one, I would definitely have chosen a 2DS. I don't know why anyone would look down on you because of it. Just get what you want and ignore the opinions of others.

This is a given Anyone over the age of 10 playing a 2DS in Public. Will be subject to becoming the butt of jokes. The 2DS is designed for kids under 7 yrs since 3D may hurt the development of their eyes. So to avoid possible lawsuits from angry parents. Nintendo releases the 2DS as an option. While the price is $129.99 for a new 2DS it will help Nintendo make more handheld sales since kids 7 and under required parents to buy them the handheld so at $129.99 it is affordable for Parents to buy one for kids at Christmas and beyond.

So just save $40.00 more and get a proper 3DS. The 2DS is not worth it. Unless your a parent with young kids and worried about their eye health. Nintendo might have indeed did research at found out the 3D effect does damage young eyes during development. Plus for 25% of the world population cannot see the 3D effect at all. This is why 3D TV did catch on, In addition to having to wear 3D galsses to watch.

So don't buy 2DS you will be the but of jokes. I cannot see an adult using one in Public.
