Before people strt to flame me, this is an honest to god question.

You know how they release games for all platforms, but the Wii games are always diffrent.

Like the Green Lantern game and Madden games.

And I kind of dont like those changes,so i ask, will the WiiU have the same games?

I suspect that many WiiU games will be ports of 360 and PS3 games, with some minimal tacked on touch screen features.

Yeah I think all the multiplats that the Wii missed the Wii U will have. It'll be slightly better though due to having a controller that can do the same and more than a traditional controller. Oh and graphics will be a bit better if you care about that sorta thing. The main thing that'll be interesting is that you get all the games the other consoles have + the bunch of Nintendo IPs.

I'd be surprised if studios port their older bestselling titles to the Wii U, given that a lot of people have both a Wii and a PS3/Xbox 360 already.

With new titles though I would hope the Wii U would be included.

probably. if the wiiu version of 3rd party games dont sell enough to justify the extra expense then they will probably drop it. but starting out at least it should be getting the big block busters at the same time as everyone else. apparently ninty have done a very good job making it easy to port PS3 and 360 games over to the wiiu. devs seem happy with it at the mo in that regard. at launch the multiplats like darsiders will also probably look just like the PS3 and 360 versions. this is understandable since there launch titles (some 360 launch titles looked like upscaled xbox1 games...at launch devs just want it to work.). so even if the wiiu is a very big jump from the PS3 and 360 (we dont really now on that front) dont expect to see any sort of major improvement. if the wiiu versions of multiplats are selling well then we may also see some more time spent from 3rd parties on putting the wiius unique features to good use also. again at launch its probably just going to be basic menu stuff and just making sure people can play the game on the controller and TV if they decide to use anything extra at all. but over time the wiiu version could stand out from the other versions.

multi plats are confirmed, but i expect them to run more like the PC version with a new way to control it. as long as the system isnt to weird (early ps3...) then it shouldnt be to hard.

I hope it doesn't miss out on the COD, 2K, and FIFA games. There are enough buttons and the graphics look good enough so I have high hopes.

Should get the multiplats as long as this generation keeps going. Hopefully they will use the controller and hardware to its best.

Ah, I worded that wrong. I didn't mean older games, I meant new games during the Wii U era. I didn't mean to say "the Wii missed", but more so, what games the Wii would've missed, if it were out next year and the Wii U wasn't there.

Pretty much this. Expect the same games with little to no changes. Don't ever expect wiimote+ support.

I am a little curious though. I wonder if we will get multi-plats of new PS3/360 games or ports of 1-5 year old games as publishers "test the waters". I could see another wii-like scenario where publishers believe there's no market for hardcore games on the wiiu.

Considering that the U is going to be 4 or 5 times more powerful than the PS3 and 360 and that the U will have traditional programable shaders I'd say that it'll still have a SKU of all multiplatform titles next gen. Next gen is going to be more traditional with all 3 consoles being in the same sort of ballpark in terms of power, as they were last gen. We'll just see a slight graphical downgrade with games running in 1080p native on the PS4 and 720 and 720p on the U.

As long as it gets Metroid, Mario, Phantasy Star Online, Monster Hunter and KOF, all else that it gets is just bonus.

For Nintendo exclusives, I'll stick with the Wii U. For multiplats and everything else, the 360 or PS3.

Don't get your hopes up with 4 or 5 times more powerful than the PS3/360 this is nintendo afterall and they want to keep the U affordable anymore than $300 would be dengerous for Nintendo I hope its 4 or 5 times more powerful i just dont see it happening. Affordability is important if the want to keep the casuals in tow

I wouldn't worry too much mate, even with the touchscreen on the controller Nintendo should be able to retail a console with a custom Power7, custom 5000 series GPU with 1Gb of GDDR3 and 512Mb of XDR for around 300 dollars/pounds and still make a profit on each unit sold. The only expensive part of the controller is the 6 inch screen but the rest of it (the accelerometers, gyroscopes, microphone, camera, buttons, IR lights) are as cheap as chips. And they're using

And they're using resistive touchscreens to reduce the cost too. When they eventually sell them separately they should be available for the same sort of price as a remote and nunchuck combination.

Well we already know a Assassins Creed game WILL be on the Wii U however it wont be Revalations. (Probably the one after Revalations) So yah some games will be and it will probably look and be a bit better on the Wii U lol. However games like Halo yah dont expect that to come to the Wii U even though 343 could do that if they wanted to but it wont happen.

Aliens Colonial Marines
Assassin's Creed
Batman Arkham City
Ninja Gaiden 3
Ghost Recon Online
Darksiders 2
Tekken
Dirt

At this point in time, we're not exactly sure about some of them being new or just another port. If the Tekken game is new, who will get buy a Wii U and then prefer that over Street Fighter X Tekken? Not many. If it's a port of SF X Tekken, just pass the wii u and play it on the console you've already enjoyed for years. Now...why would someone get a Wii U when all these franchises are coming to the systems they already have anyway? The Rabbids games weren't actually announced during the Nintendo Conference but I can easily pass up the Rabbids games, and they won't push wii u sales.

As a Wii only owner, Arkham City and Dragon Quest 10 are the only wii u games I want so far.Dragon Quest 10 is coming to the Wii anyway so I'll get it on that system.Arkham City will have already been released for several months, by the time the Wii U version releases. When the price drop before or at the same time as the Wii U version of Batman AC; I'll get it on Pc and use my bro's computer if I did decide to get it.

i see the potential in the wii u's graphics ability, but also its its controller. i am not getting batman on launch for PC or xbox, instead saving it so i have something to buy for wii u. also cant wait for aliens on wii u, the cotroller will add a layer of immersion no other machine can do.

IF they do something with the controller. If they just slap the map and HUD on the controller, that's not going to really add anything.
