For the person who said nintendo could use snake because of The twin snakes being a GC exclusive thats not true. Besides Kojima requested that Snake was added. I believe its a possiblity that they wanted snake included to somewhat advertise a possible MGS game on the Wii.

At best, Konami could decide to sell all three Metal Gear Solid games in one package for the Wii, but even that's stretching it quite a bit. Don't hold your breath.
From what I understand, Sakurai really wanted Snake to be in Melee but it wasn't able to happen. Therefore, when it came time to make Brawl, Snake was one of the first newcomers announced with Pit, Metaknight, ZSS and Wario. This inclusion had to be followed up by at least one other 3rd party character, and Sonic really deserved that spot more than Snake. I can think of plenty of other characters that deserved it more than Snake... especially because MGS games are way to challenging to be considered fun IMO. Also though, Snake was in the original Metal Gear for the NES.

There were some songs from MGS2 and 3 in Brawl, and the Snake in the game is from MGS2, and some of his costumes are from Mgs3. I dont know if that means anything....

No. Kojima is friendly with Nintendo and asked if Snake could be put in the game. The same is true for Sega. The Twin Snakes has nothing to do with it.

I don't even care about a new title -- what I really want is just another remake. I loved Twin Snakes, and I think it would be awesome if Kojima bundled Subsistence and Snake Eater or something cool like that...

You sir are full of fail. Snake alternate costumes are based from MGS3. The Shagohod and Metal Gear Ray and tropihies are avaible as trophies and speaking of trophies Naked Snake that main character in MGS3 is also a trophy

Snake was in brawl because Hideo Kojima, practically begged Sakurai to put snake in Melee, but development was too far along so it didnt happen
