I started out plaing without the zapper and it was ok, now I prefer the wii zapper. Plus with the wii zapper settings you get the option to calibrate the aim which make it pretty accurate.

how about other third party "zapper like" pieces of plastic. I like the arcade like element of using a gun like object as the controller.
I have heard the zapper has rather odd hand placements. I was looking at the perfect shot or the dual shot and a wireless nunchuck.
Does anyone have any experience beyone the zapper with COD specifically?

Well i have only played it with House of the dead 2 & 3 the return and Links cross bow training. For house of the dead it works perfectly, but in the links cross bow training, in some trainy levels they take you off the on rail shooter, and you have to use the nun-chuck to move, and it doesnt work to good. Because to turn you have to move the gun to the direction your turning and then move up and back with the analog, but im hoping in COD to move, you just use the analog to move, and gun to shoot.
call of duty i smuch better with the zapper, easier to handle for steady aim when the nunchuck and wiimote are on one unit, while still using the joy on the nunchuck to move around moving the actual gun will aim.
