I got my wiiu yesterday but have yet to open it. The games I am really interested in, pikmin 3 and lego city undercover, won't be released until new years eve day, and the lack of tvii means that it probably won't get used at all until the holidays. So now I am just considering selling it to make a quick profit and then get a new one in January when the supply should be a bit better. My question is if there are any compelling features that would make it worth while to keep even though it won't be used much for a while.

Although I'm not crazy about the launch titles either I'm having an absolute blast with mine. The os is intuitive. The game pad feels fresh and new. Nintendo land and NSMBU are great nostalgic fun and zombiu is better than the reviews lead me to believe...although its very stressful haha. All in all I'm very pleased is a breath of fresh air for a gamer who was starting to feel jaded by the same old same old.

Miiverse is an awesome little social program. It's like Facebook for gamers only better thanks to the gamepad. Basically the gamepad is probably the reason you'd want to keep it. It's just awesome for web browsing, youtube and Miiverse.
