Would Wii get more respect if it was indeed HD?

Nintendo's innovation mixed with third-party greatness.. Such a hassle to buy a second console to play all of this gens great multiplats, would be nice if my console was able to house them:P

its still gonna have a library of games that over do ps3 and 360 any day the collector would pick wii and a hd console of their choice if ther smart ,

just look the history proved that the least powerful console with the most games line up won , not the one with the best line up or best hardware-as proven in the n64 and gc eras ,

clearly n64 had the better overall library , ,

over the ps1 , ,

clearly ps1 out sold it

so did ps2 out sell gc and xbox

and wii is gonna continue that trend ,

because they not only brought somthing new to gaming -well sort of thet did it before but still

they also chose the least expensive route and what a perfect timing because were in a recession ,

and the one who does not have the cheapest console will lose

249 plus a recession is more likely gonna get bought

as it doesnt eat a wallet

and its cheaper on the developers look at activision good example

look whos fallen victim to hte expensive costs-

Yes, I know MANY people who only hate the Wii because of the graphics. It's like this:
me: *says something about the Wii*
person: Ah, the Wii? The PS3 is much better, it has awesome graphics.

Another common complaint are the "kiddy" games. But better graphics would certainly make Nintendo have more respect from some people.

If the Wii had better graphics and more games that appeal to older gamers it would sell more but I am happy with how the Wii is now.ColonelRadec

Of course it would. The reason Wii doesn't get respect is because it's deprived of all the blockbuster PS3/360 games. If it was as powerful as the other consoles then all those games would appear on Wii as well and we wouldn't hear, "Wii is nothing but casual games, lol." It would also mean a lot less shovelware because publishers wouldn't be able to crap out turds at such a the rate they do now due of the Wii's cheap dev costs.

Now, if by "HD" you just mean High Defention resolution, then no. Simply outputing in HD would've made little difference.
