Thats like remaking Madden 97, I can understand a release on VC even though that is highly unlikely but a remake is beyond impossible and pretty pointless.
Why remake it? What THQ need to do is get AKI back on board to develop the Wii wrestling games, since by the time No Mercy came out the game engine it's self was already very solid, although Yukes them selves have made huge leeps in the Smackdown engine since those days too but they change it far too often, 2007 was probably the most balenced of this gen, there would no point be remaking a wrestling games due to the roster but rather an all new game with a far improved game engine from back then.
no mercy was the best wrestling game ever. i dont care if they bring it out for VC or make an updated version for the wii, but i need to play it again.
The game was great for its time. However, when I brought that bad boy out a few years ago to show my nephew how good it was it didn't live up to my memories. The game was good for the time but so much has been improved through the smackdown series. granted they took some steps back over the past few years but 09 is actually decent.

yeah your right, what we really need is the old team of developers to come back and make a new updated game but at the same time keep some of the things that made no mercy good. I'm really tired of the smack down series, the games feel too similar every time they make another one.
