1. Nintendo games always have been/will be more fun with people in the same room. And developers are starting to work in new online connectivity on their own. For example, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 makes use of EA's online service. And it works GREAT! Also, we are supposed to be getting new demos and WiiWare games sometime early 2008. No word on the prices for WiiWare but I'm sure demos will be free.
2. I have absolutely no problem with the friend code system. I can pick people I wanna go against online as simple as adding a friend code. No worries about hordes of 12 year olds invading my game. Simple, I get to CHOOSE who I wanna play against.
3. Nintendo has already discussed the possiblity of voice chat. They said its basically been narrowed down to how they will implement it (wireless, usb port) because as they said in the interview with Reggie, the technology is already bulit in.
So I guess that means no. Why pay for something that I'm getting great functionality from already and will be getting even more benefits from in the future? Makes no sense. I guess we'll see if Nintendo follows through on their promises when Brawl comes out...
