Would you reserve any Wii games coming out in the next 7 months?

I've reserved a grand total of one game in my life, and it proved pointless since the store had plenty when I went back. So no, I would not reserve any of those titles.

i don't see the point, the hardcore gamers are usually the ones that buy games the first day. for example, in the Best Buy that I work at, we'd have 50 copies of a game and we'd only sell about 15 of those the whole day, the rest are sold through out the week, and the replinishments usually arrive before the game is completely sold out. however, in my experience, only one game ever sold out the first day, and i think that was gears of war.

i didn't start working for the company until 6 months after the halo release. but, i did pick up the game during that week in the same best buy and they had plenty. i guess microsoft was prepared. but the ones that usually gets sold out are the sleeper hits like super mario strikers or mario baseball.

Yes I'll probably reserve Endless Ocean, Dewy's Adventure, and maybe Nights 2 I'll wait till TGS/E4all and see how well it is recieved. I think I've already reserved Super Mario Galaxy and It's probably my most highly anticipated Wii game.

I always reserve a game if I want it. Brawl is totally going to sell out for sure.

I normally don't go out of my way to reserve games, but if I happen to already be at a gaming store purchasing something else, then I'll pre-order. So far I have SMG and SSBB pre-ordered, but I still plan to purchase many other games.

I never pre order. The places most people pre order from (EB, GameStop, etc) usually have the most problems (only ordering enough to fill preorders, getting late orders, etc.) There are 2 walmarts, a futureshop and a bestbuy withing 5 minutes of my house, getting games i want on release day arent an issue...

I've had SSBB and SMG pre-ordered at Amazon since the day they were posted. We'll see how well that goes; it was Amazon who notoriously screwed up all the Wii pre-orders way back in November (they were all fulfilled, but people had an impossible time reserving them in the first place because we never got our promised alert emails). Also, I'll have to wait several days after the release date since I went for the free shipping which takes a bit longer. Looks like I'll be missing out while the rest of America is already writing complete walkthroughs. :(

Or are we only talking about in-store reservations?

This kinda seems like a silly question to me. It's so vague. But hey here I am answering it...yes absolutely. Right now I have reserves on: Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, Smash, Madden, Mario Strikers and I think that's it. I am also doing Resident Evil:UC in a few days and anything else I can think of. I am ALL FOR reserving. Like I said before it's kinda like already owning the game :D

i reserve games all the time. i dont see why people hate it so much. it doesnt cost more money (at least not at my local gamestop) all you have to do is deposit a minimum of $5 (or the whole $50/$60) and that deposit issubtracted from the total cost of the game when you come to pick it up on the day it comes out.

currently, i have super mario galaxy, guitar hero 3, and super smash bros brawl reserved.

Reserve. Play. Beat. Love. Worship. Endulge in. Metroid cause it will reign supremem in the world of games. Do not deny your fate. To do otherwise would be just plane silly. :D

The ridiculous amount of 9's and 10's you'll see will do nothing other than justify your purchase and the absurdity of your reluctance. Play.

If I don't have Brawl on Launch....then what am I supposed to do?

People in America would have 1 day more practice than I do....how would I be the best on earth if I do not have the game from the beginning???

and I will be the best on earth....add me as a friend if you dare challenge me when Brawl comes out!!!

Muaahahaa.....you all will be out of "stock Lives" while I am victorious ALL THE TIME....challenge me if you dare!!!

reserved Metroid. Will reserve Smash.

I reserve to put money down early and just work away at the payment until the game comes out.

I have a hit list this year so i need to reserve some games. MP3 and Halo 3 are full. GTA 4 is at 8 bucks. and im putting 5 bucks on Smash with another on Bioshock. Soi will probably put another 5 or 10 on Bioshock to get that going.

Already preordered, Galaxy, Metroid, and Strikers which I will be picking up tomorrow. I think that as long as you have the means you might as well preorder just to be safe. Why not?

I usually don't preorder games but I currently have two games preordered. The first one is Strikers, and that was because I took advantage of the trade 2 Wii games get 1 new game free (which expired a few days ago), and they let me pay off Strikers instead of picking up a game currently out.

The second game is Metroid Prime 3, and the reason I preordered that is because I'm going to be out of the country (I'll be on my honeymoon!) and I won't be back until like 3 days after the game is released and I don't want to risk not getting my Metroid Fix!

I don't think I needed to, but I reserved Metroid.

And I am absolutely reserving Smash Bros., I couldn't find melee for a week when it came out, and that was harrowing.
