SO I've been playing and loving The Conduit since launch day. I know a lot of people seem to find the graphics lacking. I remain on both sides of the argument. I see how they aren't quite what I or alot of people were expecting, but I also find it to be gorgeous in other regards. The character models for example are excellent!

Regardless there's a lot of understandable disappointment visually. Well My girlfriend recently moved her HD tv into my house (score!) so I finally bought component cables yesterday. Naturally the first game I testedwas The Conduit and...man does it REALLY make a difference! An already pretty game to me became stunning! I was concerned how big (or little) of a difference it would make and thankfully it delivered.

A lot of Wii gamers aren't HD savvy quit yet but for the record, The Conduit is designed with that apect in mind and if you have the opportunity to play it that way...it's worth it!

Anyone else playing it with component cables? And if so what are your thoughts?

It looks better with them, but it won't fix the crappy art direction.

I've only played it with component, and it looks great in my opinion.

I guess for how much I love the game I can still see where you're coming from. It's using human models taken straight from Killzone and ALien models taken straight from Halo and Metroid. Reagardless as a whole it does look great and as a first "HD Wii" effort from High Voltage it's fantastic. It makes my already high hopes for The Grinder and Gladiator even higher :)

I haven't played The Conduit with component cables, but I don't think any type of add-on can fix the bad art design found throughout the game.

I like the game, I really do, but just throwin' in my two cents.

The only Wii game I've seen with component cables is Okami, and that made an already beautiful game even more beautiful!

For sure! Great game too. Try The Conduit if you can. The game was made of some of the highest tech the Wii has to offer. I think High Voltage's efforts should be rewarded and seen as they were meant to be seen. That's juts how I feel. So worth it! And it does help me enjoy the game even more seeing it look as good as it does. Even though I'm not a graphics monger it makes the experience more visceral aptly next-gen.

Try playing Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy with component. I really love games with great art direction. Even PS3 games don't impress me without great art direction.
