Final Fantasy VI is out for *** and EU Virtual Console, and they haven't even released a date for a NA release.

...

FF VI sales in NA killed EU on every release of the game (i.e. FF III on the SNES, FF VI on the PSX, and FFVI Advance on the GBA)

And yet somehow, we are deemed unworthy of a release.

Herp derp much Nintendo?

1: calm down and take a deep breath

2: whats the harm in showing the EU some love over the US?

3: I think it would be SquareEnix that would have the final say on where FFVI got released not Nintendo

:)

A man selling lemonade has two customers walk up, each with enough money to buy several glasses worth. He chooses to sell it to only the first customer because he's wearing a red shirt.

^ Makes about as much sense as releasing it in EU and not NA.

If they released it in EU then they've already done the English translation (assume they re-translated it at all), so localization issues are a non-factor.

In fact, the different game sites have the EU release listed as the US version, so BASICALLY they're just being tool sheds right now for no apparent reason.

EU love over NA? Why? For what reason? None. Absolutely none. Unless they just didn't want to make more money off it, or purposefully withhold a good game from the NA market. Those are reasons, just really short-bus-level ones.

Do I really have to make a list of things NA got before the EU or NA got that EU didn't?

Its just 1 game that you can get on other platforms anyway its not the end of the world :P

Oh, so now I'm supposed to go buy another platform to play this game?

Make less sense please.

Still overlooking the fact that there's no reason it shouldn't have come to NA.

I never said that.

And just because there hasn't been a release date for it YET doesn't mean it isn't coming out in the US, and again its only 1 game.

Meh, you don't have a decades old game. We in Europe get screwed and gotta wait for stuff like Kirby Epic Yarn and so on. No Excitebots or Trauma Team either. Be happy ye get the new games!

Same things happen all the time. The reason has nothing to do with translation in this case. It was translated years ago. It has to do with distrubution rights in a particular country. Royltys and stuff has to be worked out with the differant publishers and people who helped port the game the first time around. Often its alot harder to port to the US for these reasons. Fantastic game btw worth the wait.
