I shall say this game is going to take away many hours of my life! I have pre ordered it, along with Mario Galaxy, SSBB, Resident Evil: UC, and Endless Ocean.

Me too! :D Then the day I pick it up, I will be pre-ordering Zelda Phantom Hourglass, Mario Galaxy, and SSB Brawl (guy at gamestop said they should be available by then.
just on saturday at my local gamecrazy store i reserved mario strikers: charged, metroid prime 3: corruption, super mario galaxy, & Super Smah Bros. Brawl. using my in-store credit i got from selling my psp & games.
Down here in Australia you dont need to pre order anything.
Everything is pretty much just there.
Everything also comes about half a year later (grrrrrr Super Paper Mario)

Believe me, it the same in America. You can almost always find the games you are looking for. The only time I remember game shortage is when Halo 2 released and when GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas released. Other than that pre-ordering is pointless.
I don't get why you would pre-order a game...most of the time you can just walk in and buy the game you want anyways (GTA doesn't count). I know someone who preordered a game and then took too long to get it so they sold it to someone else.

I would ask to speak with a manager if they said that. I believe it is against the rules to not take a pre-order just cuz you are a fanboy.
Yep i pre-ordered metroid along with my sims and Legend of Zelda PH. Its not good to pre order to many tho cause last year i pre-ordered ff12 and didnt have enough to pay for it whne it came out and lost all my money =(

So you couldn't pay off the game when it came in, and they kept all your money, I don't think they can really do that. I think you were taken advantage of.
