Like instead of green, Link could be brown. Or even better... A GIRL!!! Make the Link character a girl, and the Zelda character a guy!!! ITS BRILLIANT!!!Sushimaster
That'd be the weirdest thing ever... but I'd still play it.

Well I think that Nintendo should actually kill Ganon(dorf) off entirely. That would make it so he can't come back. Also, the game just needs to be harder. IN TP, there was that one enemy that showed up twice who had that big axe. He did 3 hearts for any hit, but he didn't attack a lot. If Nintendo made more enemies like that, but they were more aggressive, I think that would definitely fix the difficulty problem. Or they could just add in different difficulties which could determine damage.
The whole Ganon thing really does need to be fixed though. Also just enemies. Why aren't there hordes of enemies instead of just a few here and there? I want 20 goblins attacking instead of just one or two. Also why aren't there hunters or other people in the fields? This could make for some allies that could lead to some great things or rivalries. The only people are in towns. And what happened to the Deku? What abould guilds and things like that?
A more interesting thought is why is the game always called Zelda even though you never get to play as her and she seems to often have a minor role in each game. Was she even in Majora's Mask? I don't even remember... I'm fairly certain she wasn't in the gameboy Zelda where you have to wake up the big egg, forget the name of that one too.DeadlyZodiac
yeah, i do find its strange that the franchise is named after her - totally stealing Link's thunder.
i agree the Zant battle felt more climactic he had a more interesting story - and he was a twilight person. But he really was anything but badass; he was crazy funny.
Ganon is adequately evil, but I would like to see a more sophisticated motivation for him rather than just gaining power. or maybe if we had to stop him getting something rather than just stabbing him.
At first it's just like the traditional formula but then half way through an evel force greater than ganon kills zelda...then link and ganon team up to kill the evil force and they do but at the end in a very gloomy seting link screams as a swift arrow strikess his head and he falls to the ground blood gushing from his scull... the perfect setting for a sequel and would definatley "change the setting"... rather than replacing ganon ...thoughts?
Don't worry, Phantom Hourglass won't have Ganon.GamerForca
Really? That sucks.
BTW Zant wasn't cool at all. That guy was just stupid.
The problem is that when they take out ganondorf of a zelda game too many people complain about it, just remember zelda II: link's adventure or Majora's mask.

I dont mind ganondork...dorf* that much
but they should at least change the last boss fight...ever since OoT the makers are like "woah! they really liked that game, lets make the boss fights like that!"
my idea is that you have a hand-to-hand fight with him and then you like eventually see a rock and kill him by smashing his face in.
either that or you should al least use your items that you get from the dungeons to beat him, because every time i fight ganondorf all my old items seem obsolete.
I agree that Ganon's diffculty should be brought up and such, but that's to be said about all new Zelda games in general. When you can play through the entire game without seeing the game over screen once you know that you weren't challenged.
Anyway... I think that Ganon should stay because of what everyone before me has already said: he's crucial to the storyline. He doesn't always have to be the villain (Majora was pretty good IMO) but so long as he remains a central figure then all will be well and good. All they need to do is make his fights more dynamic and challenging and it should revive his flare. Maybe even make his reign over the world seem more threatining. TP just didn't make me feel like he was all that dangerous; all he did was hide behind a magic wall... scary...
I understand what you mean. Overall, I think if the difficulty of all bosses were to increase, maybe ganon near invincible,it would solve the problem. The thing with leaving out ganon is that you leave out part of the triforce. Leave out the triforce and you break apart from the legend of a hero with courage facing the power of evil. Leave out the triforce then you might as well leave out zelda and the master sword. Yes, other zelda games have been good without ganon but none of them felt quite as epic as the ones where he was in.BrokenTriforce
Uh, Majora's Mask? Many people consider it to be better than OoT, I myself think its the best Zelda yet.
Gannon should have a son with one of the Gerudo people, and when Link kills Gannon in the beginning of the game the triforce should be passed on to the son. He could be the most powerful boss we've ever faced. They could call the game Legend Of Zelda Gannon's Revenge. After Gannon dies Link and Zelda would expect everything to go back to normal, but disturbances would keep coming up because Gannon's son is alive. After you help everyone with there problems Link discovers the son who is now old enough to fight, and they have an epic battle to finish the game.
JUST A THEORY
There could also be a ton of side quest :D
