According to Dr. Dre, Detox........

Rap mogul Dr. Dre recently admitted that the release of his highly anticipated upcoming album, Detox, is still a long way off.

Dre admitted that other projects have slowed down the album's progress.

A script for another huge push back of the mythical album has been written. Dr. Dre is featured in the Dimedrop section of the March Edition of SLAM Magazine. The interview is mainly about Basketball but as usual, the interviewer Konate Primus couldn't resist asking the producer about the status of the album. "Well, I'm working on it, but also I've been working on other people's projects; you'll probably hear something in a year or so." (Hip Hop N More)

Hmm, I didn't like his Catalina beat on OB4CL2 really.. if that results to much.

The thing is why can't he do what Wayne done, with the Leak, except in this case, the stuff he recorded a while ago, hasn't actually leaked.

At least then, we can hear the tracks while they're still relevant and current. I mean that vault of his must have so much music.

id rather wait and listen to nothing, get the real album and listen to it a few times alone, rather than hearing 1 track here, 1 unreleased track there with a sample of another track, etc..

because it builds patience, it builds mystery around detox, and that means sales will be higher in the future

im a kinda guy whos not dependant on dre, so i dont mind whether he releases / does not release, id rather he did release so i could get a sneak peak, but by not releasing anything its interesting 

its been a mystery for nearly a decade
