Meh, we both agree that Lil Wayne sucks and The Carter 3 is best used a drink coaster so it's all good.
Seriously though, The Carter 3 is AWFUL.
-Halftime-
I have to agree . AND how the hell can The carter 3 be next to ILLMATIC AND PAID IN FULL!

[QUOTE="elpooz"]Yes is a classic :evil:.
But it would piss the rap haters off so much :). I'd love to sit next to O'Reily during the show and watch his facial expression as Wayne took the stage. "Young mooolaaa baaybaaay." :lol:

It's classic haters, get over it.
But if you juat wanna piss off the haters by awarding it to a rap album, at least do with a decent album.
C3 was dope :|..........
Dr. Carter, Comfortable, Don't Get It, A Milli, 3 Peat, Mr. Carter, Tie My Hands, Shoot Me Down, and Let the Beat Build alone make it a nice album. That + all the hot single material songs (Lollipop, Mrs. Officer, Got Money) = dope album. And that's not even mentioning You Aint Got Nuthin, which was above average (weezy KILLS his verse), Playin' With Fire, which is pretty good, and Phone Home. The album has songs that are all above average (some WAY above average like Dr. Carter), all of which host a large plane of variety together.Â
If you don't think this album was atleast decent, you need to go listen to it again... Or you're just a backpacker :?

Thats something i would expect Elpooz to say...
Saying something like that is just straight up hate. No way C3 is better than Below the Heavens, in ANY way.
Below the Heavens is AWFUL. Straight up awful. Sounds like typical backpack rap, and IMO it's a textbook example of what's wrong with hip hop today....I'd rather down a bucket of nyquil then force myself to listen to that album again. And LOL @ saying F&L or Below The Heavens is a classic because it sounds different :lol: That's just straight up silly...that's worse than an elpooz post, real talk :lol:

I don't have any bias towards the album...I actually went into it with really high hopes. Everyone here loved it, and typically that means the album is at least somehwat dope...album was boring. It felt like a chore to listen to...halfway through my first listen, I had to switch albums...ish was boring me to death. I jammed it a bunch more times, and I'm still not impressed. Exile's beats are so textbook backpack....Blu might be kind of nice on the mic, but I really couldn't tell by how boring his delivery and flow were.
I'm not going to front, I dug some cuts on it...I can't remember off the top of my head, but maybe 3-4. Outside of that, everything else was boring ish you'd find on a Murs album.

What's an opinion? That Blu & Exile are boring? As far as I'm concerned that should be as much fact as Rick Ross was a corrections officer, and Jay-Z sold drugs. You said the songs were original...I broke down the tracklist, and proved that it wasn't original...the other dude didn't even co-sign with you on it being original...now you're not saying it's original, but it's a better attempt at being original than most? lol, when you know what your arguement is, holla at me 'bruh

Below the Heavens and Food & liquor are both solid albums. And they have a chance of being considered Classic, someday. Get over it.
What's an opinion? That Blu & Exile are boring? As far as I'm concerned that should be as much fact as Rick Ross was a corrections officer, and Jay-Z sold drugs. You said the songs were original...I broke down the tracklist, and proved that it wasn't original...the other dude didn't even co-sign with you on it being original...now you're not saying it's original, but it's a better attempt at being original than most? lol, when you know what your arguement is, holla at me 'bruh
yeah, as far as YOUR concerned.... Thats an opinion. Look it up.
:lol:Â Its pretty hard to argue over the internet. But I said that the Albums are different than anything else that is considered classic. Some subject matter on individual songs on the albums aren't original, but they are done MUCH better than any other foos attemting to sound similar.
How is the Blu & Exile album being boring a fact? :|-Halftime-Cut the dude some slack, it's Colt for crying out loud. :P

how can the opening beat be boring? that ish is a nice energetic open
[QUOTE="Colt45fool"][QUOTE="gamr92"][QUOTE="Colt45fool"][QUOTE="gamr92"][QUOTE="elpooz"][QUOTE="gamr92"][QUOTE="elpooz"]Yes is a classic :evil:.

Id rather be a backpacker than think C3 was dope, its not.
Â
and colt, i never said they should be classics just because they sound different. I meant that just because they dont have the same style and subject matter as all the typical classic albums, shouldnt mean they couldnt be labeled as classic.Â
and :| at you saying "it's a textbook example of what's wrong with hip hop today" C3 is a better example of this than most albums i listen to.
C3 is entertainment to me...that's what music is supposed to be. Below the Heavens is nyquilWould I rather stay up all night watching my favorite TV show for entertainment, or fall asleep early because I drank too much nyquil...I'll take watch my favorite TV show for 500 please.
lol F&L's subject matter was so typical and boring...he has a song about kids missing their dads, a song about a girl he loves, a song about politics, a bragaddacio track, a song about being real in hip hop...where's the originality dude? he made a song about skateboarding, and had a corny concept about a dude coming back from the dead...that's where the originality ends. wtf is the instrumental about again? some kid getting hooked on a TV? there are plenty of songs about getting sucked into the media...i'm not going to lie, i like F&L, but there's hardly anything original about it.
Thats an opinion..
Each individual song on the album isn't original. But then again, It's kinda hard to be original nowadays. But he has done it much better than most cats who have tried being real.

I never said it wasn't my opinion. I was wondering if you meant the Blu & Exile comment, or the C3 comment, which you bolded in the post. LOL, nice try at owning me, fission mailed."Sunshine" is better than most love songs? :lol::lol::lol: "He Say, She Say" is better than other mom/dad/child rap songs? lol, wake me up when you make a valid point, I'm dying to hear one :lol:
And even if those joints were done better than its competitors, that doesn't make the songs original...it just makes them better...it's still the same, boring subject matter that's been beaten to death :lol:
