Cee-Lo Green recently spoke about his upcoming projects including a new Gnarls Barkley record and a comeback album with former group Goodie Mob.

In a recent interview with Billboard, the Atlanta bred artist confirmed that he has re-united with Goodie Mob for a new CD, set for release via his own Radiculture imprint. Cee-Lo parted ways with the group after 1999's World Party. Years later, in 2004, the Mob released One Monkey Don't Stop No Show without him.

Cee-Lo is also working on Gnarls Barkley's sophomore album with Danger Mouse which is slated for release in December. Cee-Lo told Billboard that the duo will not market or promote the project like they did with their debut album, St. Elsewhere. The duo will also not be embarking on a tour to support the album.

"Gnarls is something we want to salvage. It's not to be exploited or auctioned off to the highest bidder," Cee-Lo explained. "It will be revered and sought after. Somebody from my generation has to be the Dylan and Tom Waits - these iconic figures who never exploit themselves or stretch themselves too thin."

The Atlanta singer/rapper also announced that he has been working on his third solo album. No release date has been set.

Goodie Mob just needs to reunite.

Cee-Lo rapping >>> Cee-Lo singing

Organized Noize production >>> Dangermouse

Cee-Lo's still a dope singer :-* Dude can write.

I think they're rushing a new Gnarls album though....:? Sounds like someone pushed Cee-Lo into the studio, and forced him to have it done by the end of this year :?

it does seem a little early for a new gnarls album, but hopefully it'll still be up to par with st. elsewhere, which i thought was great cee-lo can sing just as good as he can rap imo

Word. Didn't they say they'd make the album whenever the felt like it...andsuggestedto not even thinking about a new Gnarls album until a few years from now? :?
