With Common's seventh studio album on its way, the Chicago lyricist played VIBE several tracks that will reside on Finding Forever.
A title he explains as a reference to the idea of long-time friend Jay Dee (J. Dilla) living on forever in the music.
"And now with the death of J Dilla and other things, you start thinking about forever lasting for real through music," Com told MTV. "Jay Dee will last forever through his music and hopefully generations down the line will know about Common through his music. And it's also saying: I been doing this for a nice period of time, so I'm trying to find the place where I can keep existing in the game and make music I love," he continues.

Yeah I'm really excited for this album, it should be solid. I disagree with whoever said that Be was underrated though, didn't XXL give it a classic rating? that ish got accolades from everyone, and it ain't even Com's best album. def. not underrated at all.
I cannot WAIT for Finding Forever...I went to see Comm live 2 weeks ago and he performed "The People" and it was sick Common puts on an amazing show too...after the first song security came on stage and turned the lights on to tell everyone to go back to their seats (everyone rushed to the stage once Common finally came on) and Common definitely wasn't happy about it, he started freestyling about how they were making us go back to our seats and how security isn't always looking out for everyone's best interests and everything...it was unbelievable
the common, d'angelo song on the shining is titled so far so good, so it's a different song. unless you're refering to something else..
i'm not familiar with lily allen so i can't say if her being on the album is good or bad, but it's kind funny that kanye always has to work with the flavor of the month..

Man I've been waiting for a long time for this album to come out and I have read about what Finding Forever means and what Forever music is and it has been great. Ohh I hope there is a new Pop's Rap.
