Answer to the topic: *Waits for Pooz to come and say Carter II is a cIassic*

I'm pretty mixed on this topic, I mean he is clearly talented and he can be on fire at times but also total garbo at another.

Then I think of other artists like Juvenile and 400 Degreez and I realize that an artist doesn't necessarily have to be consistent to drop a cIassic, just doing the right thing at the right time.

Do any of you think Wayne will drop a cIassic, ever. I mean since media labels him the greatest rapper alive, I'd hope he has it in him.

He has it in him, but he probably won't. The guy is on too many drugs, and is making too much money to care about giving an album his absolute best. But, if he were to, I think it'd easily be a classic. There are a lot of weezy songs/verses that I consider classic. He just doesn't put them all out at once...

nah. Even if he puts out an amazing album, there will be so many haters out there to deny its quality and call it garbo just cuz it's Wayne. also he doesn't give a **** about putting out a classic album.

I always thought the conensus was that 400 Degreez was a bonafide Southern CIassic and a debateable Hip Hop cIassic

Most people in the south consider it a cIassic but its definitely less respected in some of the other regions. Personlly I love the album, grew up on it, and have played it hundreds of times...

Ya'll aren't alone. I grew up on Cash Money along with other southern artists. This was the ish back in middle school. Cash Money had a lot of tight tracks back in the day.

On Topic: Hasn't he already?:P He is capable...I think...but I doubt he ever does.

As said before Carter 2 is the closest he's come.

Also like elpooz said I think he can...but won't. I think he just has this mind set that's just all about just throwing everything out there and whatever sticks is what people talk about.

Guerilla Warfare was lot better I found though I barely gave Get It How U Live a shot

Guerilla Warfare almost has cIassic status too though, Get It How U Live got like one a half stars from allmusic

He doesn't have to. He already has albums that are generally considered classics. He could never drop another good album in his life, and he'd still 1, and arguably 2 classics under his belt.

C3 is EASILY going down as a classic ^. there's no question about that one.

C2 would be his other... but it's probably not as widely looked at as one.

And if D2 counts, that is ****ing classic.

There is absolutely no doubt that Wayne has dropped cIassic mixtapes but then again, so has 50 Cent so....

I was going to say I saw Carter III going down as a cIassic but then I realized that even though it had a lot of buzz and still does, I just can't see people truly looking back in 10 years and saying a definite cIassic, debatable no doubt though. I like C3 a lot but I just don't see it yet.

Never, he's a crap rapper, his music is only half decent when you're stoned and even then you're too intellectual for his stuff. Crap rapper, with a really, crap, crap, crap new album. Lil Wayne is the "cancer" of hip hop, I didn't use a euphemism because that's what he is doing to hip hop.

C3 will go down as a classic. It's already considered one. C2 as well, though that one won't be considered one nearly as quickly as C3.

Lollipop OWNS.

Man, there was not ONE song that got me more hyped in the club in 2008. The only one that comes close is Usher's "Love In This Club"

Lollipop is alright but it definitely gives the wrong impression of Wayne if you only go by that song and not the rest of his music

I don't mean to say Wayne doesn't do a lot of music like that, which I love about him, but he also does a lot of stuff with more of a point I guess you could say. That's why so many people blindly hate on him, they've heard one song and they think they know it all

Lollipop is an awesome song, just a shame Lil Wayne can't release more songs like that.

Lol Colt thinking it's the ultimate club song, it's great but not the best.

as a mini-stan of lil wayne i will answer this question as no...

he had the potential when he was just cash money.

young money killed it for him because now he has to work with a group of some of the most untallanted rappers in the game.

And I'm gonna go so opposite of soft
Off the Richter, heckter
The Macho Man Randy Savage, far from average
Above Satus-Quo

Yeah there is no way No Ceilings is Dedication 2 or Da Drought Is Over 3 level
