Fast forward to 3:00
Is Mos Def buggin or is he right?
If this was 1997-2003 Jay might be able to step, If this was 2003-2005 maybe Wayne could compete, If this was 36 AD and Kanye had the help of Jesus's newly risen soul then maybe he could step too.jubjub13lmaooooo, truth.
mos def can own them while taking a dump and readin the newspaperNetYankEagleThis.
Mos Def could own them in a rap battle while filming a porno for all we know. I don't believe that Kanye or Lil' Wayne would even be servicable rhyming off the top of their heads....hell, I know for a fact Kanye wouldn't be.Â

Kanye isn't even in the same universe. Can he even freestyle (let alone battle)? Wayne would get torched only because of all the material Mos Def has to work with (fake hip-hop, overrated, pop, wanna-be rockstar lol.. it would be a slaughter).[QUOTE="Colt45fool"]This.[QUOTE="NetYankEagle"]mos def can own them while taking a dump and readin the newspaperSuperSaiyanLink

and for jay-z, he fell off, and weezy, LOL, at least he could maybe win a guitar duel
Weezy would have killed him 5 or 6 years a go. It's funny that Mos drops statements like this when the dudes are in experimental stages, varying from their regular style...
Mos is boring now anyway... I could care less if he would win. New Danger was, and will remain, the last good thing he dropped, and it wasn't even that good. Estatic is shaping up to be as boring as True Magic...

I mean I'm a big fan of Ye and Wayne but what the hell.

is it a bird, no...is it a plane, no...is it a duck, no...it's Elpooz, ready to stan it up once again!Â
:lol:i think Def did this just so he can hear Kanye cry because knowing Ye he probably wouldNetYankEagle lmao, kanye will blog something in a few days...'when mos said that, that really hurt my feelings'
lol. i'm not mad it just seems random for mos def to come out of nowhere to say he can beat jay, kanye and wayne in a fresstyle battle, since no one said that he couldn't. him and kanye are cool anyway,at least they used to befwyhmaybe if you watched the video instead of just reading what the post says. ;)
that dude just tryin to get some hype, he ain't that great. The only thing he's got is he talks about socially uplifting topics, and that's it. Lyrically, he sucks.mohfrontline

socially uplifting topics ahahahaha, omg get this kid out of here...[QUOTE="gamr92"][QUOTE="TheHimura"][QUOTE="gamr92"]Mighty Mos takes a big ol dookie on these clowns.TheHimura
You think Jay is a clown?
yessir. :)
Is it because you don't like his recent stuff or you just don't like him at all?
his recent stuff is aight. one or two songs i bump occasionally. And his "classic" stuff has always been overrated to me.
^ Blu>>>>> Jay right now.
Jay in his prime is easily better than Mos & Blu. But even with how lackluster Mos Def's music has been lately, I still would take him in a rap battle right now over Wayne, Kanye, and yes, possibly even Jay. Jay would be the only challenge.

You can't. :|jay > blu and this washed up mc. maybe if Talib was talking **** like this, I would be alright with it. but mos def? after his last two albums, **** no......elpooz
You just had to bring blu into this... Well, like halftime said, right now, Blu>>>Jay-Z. Cant' really compare though, since they have completely different styles.
You call Mos washed up, but not Jay? that doesn't make sense at all.
My problem with Jay is that NONE of his tracks have good replayability. I get tired of all his tracks after a few plays.

Black Star/Black on Both Sides Mos = legend. Lyrically, he owns.
Talib's solo career has definitely been more consitent though.
As for Jay can't even imagine him in a battle nowadays.

I wouldn't call Jay washed up at all... AG was dope. MUCH better than Mos' two last albums... and Jay has 10, while mos has 5.Â
Even the RD tracks don't have replay value for you...? Blueprint, RD, The Black Album and Vol. 1 have always been very appealing and lasting albums for me.
