Weezy would have killed him 5 or 6 years a go. It's funny that Mos drops statements like this when the dudes are in experimental stages, varying from their regular style...

Mos is boring now anyway... I could care less if he would win. New Danger was, and will remain, the last good thing he dropped, and it wasn't even that good. Estatic is shaping up to be as boring as True Magic...

 Jay in his prime is easily better than Mos & Blu. But even with how lackluster Mos Def's music has been lately, I still would take him in a rap battle right now over Wayne, Kanye, and yes, possibly even Jay. Jay would be the only challenge.

Black Star/Black on Both Sides Mos = legend. Lyrically, he owns.

Talib's solo career has definitely been more consitent though.

As for Jay can't even imagine him in a battle nowadays.

I wouldn't call Jay washed up at all... AG was dope. MUCH better than Mos' two last albums... and Jay has 10, while mos has 5. 

Even the RD tracks don't have replay value for you...? Blueprint, RD, The Black Album and Vol. 1 have always been very appealing and lasting albums for me.
