Black Mozart is an infectious track, I've had it on repeat too, RZA is such a genius, exactly why I thought he should've contributed moreI thought that they didn't use him as much these days because he wasn't always in line with the sound they want or something like thatOr was that just Starks spouting off something stupid
I remember they set their differences aside a long time ago. If that was a problem, then I'd expect RZA to be off the album completely...but supposedly he exec produced, so he was around.OB4CLII had all the ingredients of a classic, and a true sequel to the original, but lacked one very important one. 100% RZA beats, not 14%
Agreed in a wayI mean most of you know I'm a big Dr Dre fan but his beats on this one were lacking, they almost sounded formulaic especially on About Me. Almost sounded like a Relapse reject beat or something.
I really liked the Dilla beats though, House of Flying Daggers and 10 Bricks notably. Pete Rocks beat on Sonny's Missing was also totally sick. Necro did fine on Gihad. BT did a fine ass job on Penitentiary, one of my favorite beats from the album.Â
No doubt though Rza had the best beats though. New Wu's beat is fiyah and I love Black Mozart.Â
