OT: Good Tv shows?

Californication is good if you want a good comedy, you'll be hooked after the first episode

edit: sorry didn't see you put "no comedy". Go with Lando's suggestions and start watching Band of Brothers

Kings (only one season but amazing and you obviously want dramas), Star Wars: Clone Wars (if you like SW, this series is amazing),  Breaking Bad (arguably the best drama on TV).  The only Anime I watch right now is Naruto: Shippuuden.  You said no comedies but the ones I recommend are damn funny: Scrubs, The League, 30 Rock, The Office, Community, Parks and Recreation.

I guess you'd probably like some of the older HBO shows like the Sopranos and Oz. And some of the miniseries like Band of Brothers and the Pacific. You'd probably like Entourage as well.

I know you said no comedy but every season of Arrested Development is available for streaming on netflix. Just pointing it out.

The only shows I'm watching now are:

Boardwalk Empire --- which I'm super behind in

Community --- prolly better to use Hulu or catch it on tv

The Event --- don't know why I'm watching haha... guess I just want to see what happens. Some of the actors are flat out awful and there are plot holes but that Taylor Cole chick = yessir.

I've seen every season of Oz, forgot about that. I've heard good things about The Sopranos so I'll check that out for sure. And Clone Wars was dope, saw that a LONG time ago and forgot about that as well lol.

Anyone who hasn't seen Spartacus and its prequel series needs to go watch both right now. Spartacus is hands down my favorite show right now, period. Can't wait for the second season.

HBO: Carnivale.

Anime: Planetes.

And if you haven't already seen it then Twin Peaks. 

You should check out Justified and Sons of Anarchy, excellent shows if you like crime shows. Probably two of my current favorite shows next to stuff like Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad. I would also recommend The Walking Dead if you like survival horror even though the first season only has like 7 episodes.

I don't even think there's an argument. Boardwalk Empire, Sons of Anarchy, etc are great but Breaking Bad kicks all kinds of ass. 

if you like football watch friday night lights. great show

24 if you like mindless action and drama

Dexter if you haven't watched that

Battlestar Galactica is decent if you want some sci-fi

sleeper cell is a really great show 

Jericho is a really good post apocalyptic type show

Fringe is pretty good if you want an X-Files type show

Supernatural is a pretty good too

drama series are wack, watch movies for that.

ATTN: Veronica Mars is on Netflix.

Also the first three seasons of Newsradio and Arested Development.  Watch those too.

Best shows right there imo (Just listed my favs) If you liked The Wire I am 99% sure you will like all those others I mentioned (especially The Shield, a friend of mine who showed me the wire showed me the shield to).

Boardwalk Empire. Simply the best show on tv atm (it's still running over here in the UK..). I don't watch tv much anymore, nor has anything gripped me as such for a while now and I can say it's well worth watching. Great story line, strong list of characters, boobies, guns, twists, class... just d/l now.

You can stream Twin Peaks on Netflix now. I've never seen it yet so that's what I'll be watching next.

and I can't believe how bad the last episode of the Event was:lol: It's like the writers know they are about to be kicked off the air are now scrapping entire plotlines they spend 5 episodes building up.

oh and the ending does blow chunks. for all the crap build up, the ending was set up to make the season at least on par with season 3. it wasn't. only redeeming storyline is quinn really.

Dexter - only seen one series, really enjoyed it so I plan to see the rest of them.
