OTB Avatar/Signature/Gif Thread

I remember we had a request thread I dunno 1-2 years back or something so anyway just a thread for people to request avatars, gifs, signatures, discussing photoshop etc etc so why not start another one. 8)

oh and here's some freebies if anybody want them to kick stuff off:

All of them are dope. I've had Photoshop for about 6 months, and GIMP, but don't know how to make sigs :( Guess I'll just try out a tutorial one of these days.

All I know how to do is make semi decent gifs from videos.

Tutorials can only do so much. They're good for showing you the basics of Photoshop design and all but you should really experiment with all the tools yourself. You develop your own style that way. Go with the tutorials for a little while and you should start getting it on your own.

I am a fan of that DOOM one and the Outkast one. Also really like your GFK signature...

I need to get back to making sigs. Haven't made any in a minute...I used to be alright at it though I thought

Some of what I used to do back when I was like 14

I wish I could be decent at making signatures with things not based off renders or wallpapers. I can't do much with real people in signatures...

Know any good tutorials X-Fade?

Pretty much that, they are good to learn about various tools in Photoshop and the basics but as far as creating signatures etc a lot of it is in how you create a style and the way you use the tools. Tons of ways to get the same results with different tools and some takes a lot less time than others. Photoshop can be so fun to just mess around with though.

Dunno about tutorials though haven't used one in a couple of years so can't help you there, mostly I just experiment, I find most tutorials to be over complicated and just end up giving up on them so stopped using them haha :P

why can't i change my avatar? i'm in prefs, i go images, upload my pictures under "user icon", save it, and nothing happensDaDukies

this is kind of what i was expecting when x-fade was gonna make the sig....

but what he made is like 1,000,000,000 times better.

I managed to get it down to 3.4 mb so here's that version, dunno it thats still too much though. Cause I can't find their rule anywhere. ^_^

I just deleted like 75% of the frames and delayed the animation between slides and got it down to 1MB. Still the same thing but with less frames.

These gifs also look way different when I was testing them out in Firefox vs Chrome.  When a gif has more frames it plays a lot slower in Chome (and Internet Explorer) and looks faster in Firefox. But when it has less frames it plays at pretty much the same speed in Firefox and Chrome.

The signature limit is under where you edit your signature, "Signature images are limited to 50K." :lol:

Either way, I highly highly doubt you'll get in trouble and even so, it's all worth it for Lil' B
