I come back and all you guys making fun of Elcamino . I was joking around at first but dude got mad like he never heard of the word "joke" :|.Aljosa23
Sorry.I can't hear sarcasm over the internet.
Look i got insulted and was just definding myself. If you ment it sarcasticly you could have just said. I don't have any problems with you or this union but if you don't know me personally just please don't talk bad about me.
Back at the start. Rakim is cool but if you surveyd everyone that listens to rap I bet biggie would be considerd king of NY.
For one thing, you need to choose your words wisely. You should of said Biggie is the original king. Can't be king if he's dead. So really you wasn't making all that much sense.kobegill
Alright i'll change the way i put it. Biggie is the original and most powerful/influential king of NY. Now i would say 50 is. No matter how much i hate 5-0 he has a swagger and should be considerd king until someone more influential comes out.
But was'e'nt the original topic what album is GOAT.
Thats what the king does isen't it?
Alright mabey king isen't the right word.....
But IMO biggie is the best rapper out of NY ever. Mabey i haven't heard what everyone else thinks is best but i will eventually. You can't beat biggies classic songs just can't.
36 Chambers>Illmatic>Liquid Swords>Ready to Die>Reasonable Doubt
36 Chambers consistent all the way
Illmatic consistent all the way
Liquid Swords great songs, some weak songs
Ready to Die some realgreat songs but arescattered
Reasonable Doubt, first 4 songs, best start to any album ever, falls off fast compared to the first 4.TheBigTicket21
Just curious, what weak tracks do you think there are on Liquid Swords?
Just wondering cus I think the album is ill all the way through.
I know this thread is about opinions and all, but when it comes to asking that question: your asscrack of an opinion is irrelevant. The album has waaay more acclaim OB4CLReady to Die > Illmatic = Reasonable Doubt > Liquid Swords
why is Liquid Swords in here...when 36 chambers and only built 4 cuban linx are WAY better wu albums...not saying LS aint awesome...it just aint...those...

So? Ready To Die has more acclaim than all 3 of those albums, does that make it the best?

it doesen't make it the best lyricly but it means more people have heard it and or like the album. I haven't heard many songs off the others but Ready to Die is full of original songs. (game spot wouldent let me say clasics)

arent all great albums full of original songs? otherwise it would be Kidz Bop.I thought Kidz Bop was full of original songs:roll:. Naw what i mean is it has grreat songs all throu out it
like
Juicy
Suicidal Thought
Who Shot ya
The what
I haven't heard much of the other albums but in my mind all these songs>illmatic.
Just my opinion though
^^ Who Shot Ya want even on the original release of RD, it is a diss track (how original), Juicy is a rags to riches story (never been done before!!!!!), Suicidal Thoughts was fairly original but the concept has been explored several times. good songs thoughApocalypse33
I would have described them as classic not original but GS wont let me say Classic unless i spell it wrong, so there Clasics
Midnight Marauders>36 Chambers>Illmatic>Critical BeatdownTheMastahLink
Low End Theory > Midnight Marauders :D
Rakim is the all time king of New York. He raised the bar for everyone else and that's why we had lyrical genius from the likes of Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane and all the other brilliant MCs who followed. Biggie, Nas, Jay-Z, GZA and the rest.

I agree with both points. Bradleyboy = That dude[QUOTE="TheMastahLink"]Midnight Marauders>36 Chambers>Illmatic>Critical BeatdownBalimiI was about to mention Critical Beatdown as being better than Reasonable Doubt and Liquid Swords. Midnight Marauders would be somewhere between Illmatic and it though.
I don't really enjoy Critical Beatdown. Its in no way better than Liquid Swords or Reasonable Doubt though. What madness.
