I tried to make a thread on this the other day... thought I did, but guess not.

Has anyone checked this album out? just checked out a few tracks, sounds pretty solid all around, seems to warrant a cop... Madlib produced the whole thing apparently.

Album Features Phonte, Planet Asia, Talib, Evidence & Guilty Simpson just to name a few.

This album grows on me every time I listen to it and it's already up there to be heralded as an aoty contender no doubt. It's a solid album, has a mix of substance to it, the beats come correct (as usual) - quite soulful at that, which is nice to see from the Bad Kid, kinda 9th Wonder-esq. Interesting cover art (I haven't copped the physical copy yet, but from what I've seen, fresh), good features, Talib Kweli pairs up nicely with the Madlib beats (made me go listen to Liberation again). I hope they release an instrumental disc somehow, whether seperately or as a deluxe pack.

Some favourites:

Best of Times (feat. Phonte) - Shame he was only on the hook, it's all good though.

Get It Started (feat. Talib Kweli)

New Love

True Champs (feat. Montage One, Evidence, Oh No and Roc C)

madlib came correct on this one...great soulful production as far as the rhyming, I didn't think it was anything amazing, but SAS is pretty solid

It's quite a good album, we'll see at the end of the year how it stacks among my favorites but I haven't really re-listened to it for a while.
