UPDATED: Dr. Dre Says Detox Will Come Out Sometime 2010

Since being ousted from G-Unit in 2005 [click to read], The Game's relationship with his one-time mentor, Dr. Dre, has often shifted between borderline fanatical and what appeared to be subliminal shots. At various times within the last four years, Aftermath artsits Bishop Lamont and 50 Cent (signed through the Aftermath subsidiary Shady Records) have also been involved in beef with The Game, while Dr. Dre remained quiet about the situation.

During a HipHopDX interview in 2008 [click to read] Bishop even left the door open to a possible reconciliation saying, "I genuinely have love for dude. His brother is my brother; Big Fase 100 is my brother. His sister, B-Fly is my sister. Me and his mom talk all the time. We were at a Father's Day thing together just this Sunday. It was Dre's mom, his mom and my mom, so I've got love for him. **** blow that wrestling **** out of proportion. At the time he did that record I wanted to beat him up, but that ain't **** It's all love."

Those feelings were apparently co-signed by Dr. Dre, after The Game posted a picture of himself, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre in the studio working together.

That's a compilation album, that's like if you counted a Greatest Hits album as a Solo Album

Usually most people count it as his solo effort.....even though he produced some joints here and there (not to mention barely rapped on that ish). But I'm assuming they counted Aftermath since they did say it was his "forth solo album"...

kinda hard to say. every other song deals with weed, his ablum is called the chronic and his other album has a weed plant on the cover, and he hangs out with the biggest pot head in the rap game

I mean Snoop Still blazes, how else did he get the courage to make that Willie Nelson ish. Dre though I'm not sure...I mean does Eminem still blaze even...I don't even know.

Dr. Dre's Detox Faces More Delays

In an interview with ABCNews.com rapper/producer Dr. Dre[click to read] revealed that his highly-anticipated album Detox will not be released until some time next year.

Dr. Dre[click to read] revealed this latest Detox news when asked what had been keeping him busy recently.

"Only my album that I've been working on for the last 10 years, that's it, Detox record," explained Dr. Dre. "Hopefully I'll get it done at the end of this year and we can hear it next year."

Detox has been in the works for close to a decade now and the album was expected to be released some time this year much to the delight of eager fans. Now it seems they'll have to wait until 2010 for their Detox fix.

It also appears that Dr. Dre is still hard at work creating tracks for Detox, this according to a Tweet made by rapper The Game last week. In his Tweet Game[click to read] explained that he was in the studio with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and attached a picture of the three artists.

I mean he's been saying the same thing for I think 5 years now. Go look back at threads on the old OTB UCB. You'll see posts from 2006 where Dre is saying "Detox is almost done, next year it's droppin for sure!". And then he'd say the same thing in 2007, 2008, and so forth.

There's absolutely no excitement for this album out of me. After so much time it can't possibly live up to the hype of being a classic, and I don't think it will be even be solid based on Dre's recent production.
