I forgot Em might be doing a re-release of Recovery unless there is a new album coming in 2011

Like Em really needs a re-release of Recovery... I'm sure Em fans will eat it up though. Nothing much to say about the snippet since its so short but it samples "Mother's Theme" from the Mack soundtrack...

lol, you guys are absolutely ridiculous i agree that a re-release of recovery would be stupid and unnecessary, but Em needs to quit music forever? Em was better when he was a drug addict? really? so Encore must be better than Recovery. You all must love the insult comic dog accent, and songs like "Ass Like That" and "Fack". you're right, Em's flow and content on "My First Single" is much more complex and intelligent than "25 To Life" and "Almost Famous" smh, hip-hop fans are never happy

weren't you guys complaining hearing about the same "shock" raps.  At least that was something I remember reading in a lot of reviews of Relapse and stuff.

If cole and elect were making the music Jay, Em, and Nas make now, hell yeah them brothers should quit. Luckily, neither cole or elect come close to making anything remotely wack ... step ya analogy game up

This and Shady wasn't all about raping and killing lesbians. It was his whole don't give a **** attitude mixed with black humor and a bit of truth behind all of it. He's old and gives a **** now.

DaDukies, its not our fault you like everything, and it's our opinions, so what do you even care? go back to listening to Kid Coochie with your wannabe stoner friends thinking his simplistic rhymes actually have deep undertones and live happily ever after without reading something that disagrees with you ever again (I'm jks, but come on man, give it up). Eminem/Nas/Jay-Z either need to stick to what they're good at without alienating thier core fans that brought them notoriety in the first place or actually take risks that'll ensure thier music has sustaining quality and longevity with every release, lord knows the 3 of them can't actually pull of either, so it's time to hang it up...atleast Kanye has the right idea and he's actually making good music, something I can enjoy that isn't so forced you can literally hear the lab rats writing the formula on a white board in the background...

lol i like everything? you obviously dont know my music taste at all...and i don't really care, i just have to completely disagree if anyone says Em needs to hang it up. yeah he's had a couple semi-poppy songs with his return, but nobody here can deny the fact that he's spitting just as well, if not better, than he ever has and is helping to bring lyricism back to mainstream hip-hop. i'm also really tired of people on here bringing up Kid Cudi every time they disagree with one of my posts, when i haven't even mentioned the guy's name in months on here. It's not like I made a huge Kid Cudi thread, make new threads with every new single he releases, have him all over my avatar/sig, and think he's the greatest thing to ever happen to music (*cough* crooked i). I enjoyed Man on the Moon, so the **** what? that doesn't automatically mean your music taste is better than mine.

DaDukies just proved he doesn't know **** about lyrics. Seriously, you think Em is spitting better now then he did on his first three projects? Like are you ****ing deaf? Or do you just not understand how verses are structured? Do you know the difference between simile laden verses and illustrative narrative verses? Do you realize that Em's wordplay has completely changed in every aspect? Do me a favor, listen to em's material ... in order. From SSLP to Recovery. There is no ****ing way you can do that and still think Em is spitting better NOW than he was back in his early days. Unless you're a fan of horrid verse formats, predictable punchlines, awful wordplay, distracting flows, unnecessary scream-rapping, and a complete lack of narrative. Seriously, Eminem now is EVERYTHING that is wrong with rap music. Stop acting enlightened and learn about the craft that you're supposedly a fan of ... jesus.

lol, yes em's lyrics may not be as great as they were during the infinite/sslp/mmlp days, but his rhyme schemes are just as good, if not better imo. yes, its DIFFERENT (something lots of hip-hop fans are afraid of), but if you're denying the talent there then thats just insane

I kinda liked difficult, lyrically (in the rap sense it's not anything out there) but LYRICALLY :P it's heartfelt.  I woulda preferred it to the track they used on Recovery.

lol youre right dude...cause that WACK ass song has a "complete lack of narrative" just like all of em's recent music. that was a completely horrible example of narrative in a recent eminem song :? and you heard it LAST week, before anybody else here! so impressive my b, god of rap knowledge. at first i didnt realize that your opinions should be taken as fact seriously though, chill out. youre not smarter than everybody here

Yashar, you like everything ... Mems, Colt, BD, and WGE all pointed that out already :P

I'm not smarter than everyone, just you Dukies :P

The song is god awful, not only from a narrative aspect, but even from an original meaning of lyrical (though it is about 50x more lyrical than most of his recent work). I state my opinions matter of factly because being polite and quaint on the internet is literally a waste of time, words, oxygen, brain cells, neuron signals, and cpu processes. I'm blunt like my city.

I could school you on beliefs, knowledge, opinion, and facts, but it'd too be a waste. So just read some epistemological theory of mind and stop getting butthurt cause I bluntly reject near all things you say.
