I see no problem with it. By the time you're 16 you understand the consequences of such actions. If you don't then something else about society needs to be changed...

It should be 16 but must be 18 until before being able to "do it" with over 18's IMO

Anything else is subjective/moral BS.

Your old enough in most states to drive a car that puts your life and others lives at risk which is a big responsibility as such they should be able to morally comprehend their actions with another person.

If I was the parent and it was some 40 year old creep I would get angry though.
