Nobody killed, no assault weapons used, black people were shot and doing the shooting. Yup, media wouldn't care about that. Only care when white people get shot randomly.

I've read this story on practically every major news site. As far as why the coverage is lighter, I'd probably say because no one actually died.  Also, motives at this point are unclear and you can't actually rule out this isn't gang violence.  Not that it really matter though...if the perp(s) used AR-15's and killed a bunch of people I think this story would be a lot bigger for sure, black or white.

Turning on the TV usually helps. I heard about it on both CNN and MSNBC. No one died, their is very little left for the national media to actually report, so it fell off the radar.  This is a local media matter now.  If national media covered every non-lethal shooting in the country, they would never have any time to cover any other story.
